AnonD-31388, 22 May 2014To all users who are facing lagging and slow response for X... moreIn my opinion, it seems to me that you are cleaning the device off from uneccessary apps and minimizing the phone's standby screen functionality. well this shall work i think as the phone wouldn't need to process a lot of things in the background and phone will be free of any bloatwares, however the downside of your technique is that the owner would have limited customization on the phone, will lose anti-virus which is needed when browsing unsafe websites. and also I don't think you plan to download any heavy games on the phone since you have cleaned it. therefore it will be useful only to people who do basic calls and text.

To all users who are facing lagging and slow response for X SP, i have tried couple of things and it seems phone become smooth,
( No Factory reset and no repair phone )
    1) Removed memory/task managers(clean master)
    2) Removed antivirus McAfee
    3) Removed weather apps (android weather )
    4) Removed all widgates from home screens kept home screen with only one page and with very imp shortcuts.
    5) Removed un-necessary camera apps
    6) Disabled un-necessary Goggle apps which not at all used any way( depends on person to person )

AnonD-121785, 22 May 2014Go for motorola droid mini 2013 instead of moto g and xperi... moreDroid mini is specific to the US and moto x costs more than sp so it is beyond GS's budget I guess.

GS, 21 May 2014Which one to go for Moto G or sony xperia SP? really confus... moreWhat Anonym had replied to you is true, however i think what GS wants is a reliable phone. which i will argue about Xperia SP, you do know that after the 4.3 update no matter what firmware version, the phone become sluggish and lags a lot, so on that part i will say moto G is more reliable specially if all you need is messaging, skype and few other apps. it can handle those things without a lag. unlike Xperia SP it lags a lot, when i'm playing an online game like brave frontier and i go to homescreen to check the time then go back to the game again damnn, it takes me 10 seconds before the game opens up again.

it may be true that on paper and on benchmark score Xperia SP is a beast in terms of specs, but what GS is asking is reliability which i doubt SP can give with all the lags it is experiencing. So for me if you are not into heavy gaming or things like that then you can settle for a lower priced moto G.

GS, 21 May 2014Which one to go for Moto G or sony xperia SP? really confus... moreGo for moto g as i have checked both sp as well as moto g and moto g has better performance despite a slightly inferior CPU and while sp does have a more powerful GPU, gaming performance is not your priority. Cameras of both phones are at par i think in spite of sp having greater resolution and moto g has a better selfie camera. Just remember that moto g has no microSD card slot.

AnonD-266061, 21 May 2014which one to buy ? MOTO G or SONY xperia SP? Xperia SP is better than Moto G in almost every single aspect (except for the "guaranteed updates").

In case you are about to do the argument that "Moto G is a quadcore, hence it must be more powerful" then don't bother, because you are wrong. The Dual-Core Krait that equips the Xperia SP is proven to faster that the quadcore Cortex-A7 in Moto G in benchmarks all over this site.

Plus, Xperia SP even has a top dog GPU!
