I watched movies and the most i got was 5h of screen time. Update to 4.3 JB if you didn't also try to reduce some brightness. Install wakelock detector to see if an app hangs the device but with 4h screen time i don't think is a problem with the phone.

Does anybody know how to keep active the light effect in standby mode(while music plays) or are there any apps to do this...?

Friends who are waiting for kitkat update for X SP, read above blog.... chances are just 1% to get KitKat for X SP..
lets be happy for 4.3 or get downgraded to 4.1 if 4.3 not stable on your phone..

I think xperia sp is the best handset in this price range.its awesome.and it is fast.enjoying every moment with it.best of luck sony.
