I was a loyal customer of So... moreStuck with this buggy update on my xperia SP.
I’m damn sure that I will never buy any Sony product and will never recommend it to my friends/colleagues. Was using Neo V and made a big mistake by upgrading to this phone. Well Chinese phone makers are far better than Sony in all aspects (value and promise)
As promised Sony has not provided the kitkat update and has withdrawn the plans to do so.
Few of the problems that I have noticed.
• Touch screen struggles to recognize touch when phone’s charging
• So called walkman does not play WMA media , shows up all the audio files in a single page (no folder wise selection , I got a 32GB card installed)
• Sometimes the phone thinks that earphones are still connected and the earphone icon does not appear in the status bar
• Camera fails to save the previous shooting mode (reverts to stupid superior mode though the earlier selection was manual)
• Too many bloat ware and unnecessary RAM consumption
• Only 839 MB of RAM available for usage
• Ringtone assigned to a contact defaults back after few days (Just don’t know why)
• New 3.5mm jack standard, unable to use few of my old earphones
• And finally now no Kitkat update , Please don’t fool customers by making fake promises

Anonymous, 14 Sep 2014Does anyone know what the best settings are for useing the ... moreCamera is bad and especially bad in low light conditions. It's the way it is made and the best code couldnt make it better. Cam is one of many downfalls of Xperia SP.
I know this dont help, but clears things at least and keeps you from looking fot a solution that doesnt exist.

guyz please i want help..When I put any color for led lamp in order to enlighten when it comes to message .. I fabricators any color, such as blue and see when a message comes belive that enlighten white color I made everything which lasted White and Blue when tandoor fabricators period and then returns the first such tandoor White please i want help thanks

At last there is no update for kitkat for our Sony xperia sp... The Sony representative told me in the chat... I just contacted xperia care... They only release frimware support for our phone

XperiaSp™, 12 Sep 2014what you didn't get is that sony DID tried to provide kitka... morei dont think so,kit k. is working even with the phones with 512 mg of ram,so it means sony just dropped this phone.

Dear Sony Engg.
1) Images serial no. are change when we change the storage location. If we move images to memory card then serial no. already available. So we rename all images. It is very bad system. Images serial no. should be not change during we change the storage location.
2) When we see the images in album from Camera folder but there is showing another images which we not capture. In camera folder images should be show only that we have captured. we have saved images from whatsapp and facebook maximum images shown in camera folder that is wrong.
Pls Solved all problem in next update.

Does anyone know what the best settings are for useing the phones camera in low light for example in a club or rave? I seem to get a lot of blurred photos in low light where it catches movement and doesn't focus well. I have worked out how to get good day light photos which I am very happy with after taking advice from xda forum but I am struggling with low light photos.
Please help.
4.3, 205 update my only lags are when opening the camera.

.207 has a problem for me. Occasionally, the screen freezes and becomes yellowish and dark for a few seconds.
Does anyone faced this problem?
Can I make a complaint to Sony?

Abu7732, 12 Sep 2014Which phone is worth buyying!! Xperia Sp or m2 aqua.M2 is better for software formance but it has bad voice senser so talking sond is bad not clear also its camera's snap photos resolution is worth . in sp all thing is better tan ma but software is not upgradable

.207 update is actually good. performance wise Sp is can be compared with the flagship phones, although Sony announces that it will not get Kitkat anymore, I think sony knows best for the Sp. So people stop complaining the device is already a beast!!!
