Been testing some games, this is not bad at all, tipo has enough graphics power for this resolution. Raging Thunder 2 looked quite good an was smoot enough even when lotsa opponents, so I tested the same game on my daughters HTC Desire Z, which has adreno 205. Sure it was better on the htc but mostly because the Desire Z has full 800x480 res on a excellent slcd 3.7 inch.
Also did a few runs in Temple Run, the Tipo does very well here, flawless. Adreno 200 really is ok for 320x480, but for other things than gakes I could have wished for more processor power.

dp, 20 Sep 2012I doubt that it would do 30 but yeah the adreno is much betteron qvga it may do but adreno 205 of course it will and higher also

I don't think there will be an upgraded version of the galaxy y for some time at least. Samsung would not want to mess up the sales of the chat. There are only two phones with ICS in the sub 10k range presently and the chat will be one of the best sellers alongside the tipo for the coming months in this range. If there is an upgraded version of the gy in the works then I don't think it will be in the market before Q1 2013. So don't wait for galaxy y2 or whatever the name will be.

The GPU of the gchat is not good however its processor is better. The res is also not good. So I think that if you want to get a phone for games, videos etc then go for the tipo and if you want to get basic tasks done at a slightly better rate and also a better UI then go for the gchat.

guys you should know that some games require hvga res to run so the chat wont be able to run all your games. there is a new games review of the tipo on youtube. I posted the link earlier but it didnt get published.
