IMO this phone is a step backwards.
I doubt it will cost bellow 120 euros.
And for that cost, the mini is available.
The mini has an even more compact size, which is a huge advantage, better camera with flash and better video resolution, better CPU+GPU which should be even cheaper a couple of years later, LED screen of higher pixel density.
Superior in every way and yet cheaper, it is unacceptable that instead of using this technology, they have picked even worse, for this and Miro...
The entry level standards should not go down as time goes by, this not what SE used to be, Sony has dissapointed me...

lalaland, 14 Jun 2012well xperia tipo offers 800mhz and desire c offers 600mhz! ... moreBut it's way cheaper than desire c.
Acc. to a leaked info it's expected cost is around 180 USD or 9.5 k INR while desire c is 228 USD or 12.5 K INR.
Galaxy mini 2 is the most pathetic of all around 270 USD or 14 k INR.

low end phone right? so how much will it going to be in the philippines? php 6000+? does it have sony's timescape UI?
i say its better than galaxy y because it got slight a bigger screen! :)
i still prefer a standard 3.5 that motorola fire xt to this low end! i need standard screen size! but this one would be ok! specially offering an ISC on a low end device!

Anonymous, 29 Apr 2012i think sony makes it to compete with galaxy y. but, ICS on... moreRemember guys that there is more to a processor than its clock frequency.
An 800 MHz Cortex A5 (which I believe this uses) is probably the performance equivalent to a 1GHz scorpion. The Cortex A5 has more performance-per-clock and therefore is more power-efficient.

It is perfect at its price range. Don't compare this with big boys. It's competers are entry level droids

mario, 03 Jun 2012Ics does NOT need high speeds! I installed ics on a 2 year ... moreIf we can say so. Even on 2011 Xperias it isn't truly smooth. 4.0.4 is much better, but not as fast as gb and never will be.
