It has good spec. But have a smaller screen size,camera quality not good,having problem in signal,but have dual core and novaThor chipst make phone smooth.
But have a best budget phone ever.

I bought my xpria U last yr,i dnt dwnlod a lot of apps or store more. Now the touch response tends to be slow though no upgrades i have done wth it. It takes milisecs for tappng/txting to respnd. thanks

I love my Xperia U but I have somehow switched on the speech mode when I am texting. How do I switch it off, does anyone know please? It's driving me potty as have been trying to sort it for over an an hour now. Ready to throw it through the nearest window lol.

download poweramp music player from play store. great sound quality better than other music players.

Camera fv-5 and Camera zoom have the option to save directly on the OTG.
Also flac music with Poweramp works like a charm on the OTG.
Mxvideo player works best as Poweramp with the videoclips also with audio from OTG.
The only thing to know is that you need a fat32 formatted memory usb stick, up to 32gb otherwise it may have lags or it cannot be accessed.
And of course, OTG will be a little weird feeling like a tessel, but overall it's a perfect way, to make it perfect!

Currently, i am using xperia u(ICS 4.0).
Great Phone. from my point of view, upgrade it to ics, because gaming experience is more smooth.
But if u are not into gaming, gingerbread is great.
Because gingerbread offers a lot of free ram,so u can afford to do more multi-tasking.

kiran, 14 Feb 2013xperia u is a video calling phone or not.With xperia U you cant make video calls like from dialer, but u can dial a video call using skype.
