i'm confusedJ is very slow and the cam is not as good. J is like a pretty boy, nice haircut but too weak to even stand up for old ladies on the bus. If you could compare J and Xperia Mini you would be surprised, both have 1GHz CPU but Xperia Mini feels like it is more than twice as powerful, and do you know why? Because it is! Scorpion processor is very superior to A5, i really dont understand why Sony could not use a Scorpion in Xperia J, it really need it.
Cortex A5 is a joke, and a bad one. But yes the J looks great and feels great to hold, but that greatness fades away when you start using it. It does not mean it s useless, i have used Tipo and it sure is a crappy phone but it works just fine, stutters a lot in for example facebook app, and by stuttering i mean it is not responsive most of the time and then it works in small stutters between the freezes, but games run just fine, no stuttering in games if background apps dont interfere. Still, looks better be VERY important to you if you choose J over U, and to be honest the U already looks great anyway, plus it has 4x the CPU performance.

If Android 'ICS'still not coming on Ur country, try to search forum 'Xperia U' on XDA developer to help Ur problem.

i'm confusedxperia J got a good battery life , bigger screen than xperia u.
xperia u got a dual core processor so it should be smoother than J
and the latest news about sony said that xperia J will get JB update , xperia u wont get JB update so its a bit confusing :)

it okey so far but am having ... moreCan't persuade mine to work either, though MTP wasn't very reliable with Ubuntu and 2.3 either so not sure if it's anything new.
If your phone is on wi-fi and your PC is on the same network (hard-wired or wi-fi) AirDroid app is probably the easiest way to go, though you won't be able to access hidden files and depending on your wi-fi flavour will be somewhat slower.

m, 26 Jan 2013my phone battery get down very soon.i have brought it 4days... moreThere is an option in Settings->Power Management and check Extend battery option... It's stopping all the unnecessary processes 15 minutes after screen lock. It's one of the "must have" options of Xperia U.

Hi guyz I asked this question many times but no onr answerd. I have xperia u and ics is still not available. So I want to flash official ics. So for flashing I have to unlock bootloader or not?

Xperia u is better in performance compared to J...because dual core processor and also it can play upto 1080 p videos...also it can record 720 p videos....only prob with xperia U is...screen size is smaller, no card slot...not an issue..u have on the go usb option..so that u can use pen drive....these options are not available in xperia j...also if u craze about looks...go for J..its bigger...also JB is waiting for j...but not for Xperia U....its nothing but...PERFORMENCE ("U") vs LOOK ("J")
