Been using Xperia U for more than an year. Only problem happened so far was touch screen stopped working, had it repaired now its just fine.

The exchangable cap really adds to the physical appearance of the phone. This phone is definitely a living legend, best of its class!!!

have been using sony xperia u for a year and half now on contract. WHY IS THE SCREEN BLACKING OUT, it started a couple of days when l lock the screen or it automatically locks the screen it took a few seconds for the screen to brighten up when you press any button. But as l am typing now it has been 3 hours and the screen is still black but the phone works, its just that l am not sure whether it will clear up. l have tried taking off the battery but still l cant see anything.The screen is just black EVERYTHING ELSE works. What should l do.

Two people in my family have this phone and several friends - opinion is universal - rubbish!!!!
Start out brilliant then few months down road apps start playing up, phone freezes, texts/phone calls not received, screen blanks out, loses stored information. Shame.

Start out brilliant then few months down road apps start playing up, forever losing conne tion, get charged for data - rarely use but it turns itself on. Wireless connection lost - not wireless fault as other phones in same room - samsungs, nokias no probs. Loses contact info, phone freezes, texts/phone calls not received, screen blanks out, loses stored information. Shame. Will never touch anything sony again!!!!!

this mobile I am using from last one year
it is having lot of problems in the mobile
1. While listening song suppose I get a call then I am not able to pick the call after receiving also I am not able to hear the voice. for that I need to restart againg to make a call or receive the call.
2.Sometimes while talking voice goes off automatically. Neither I can hear nor other side.
Earlier this problem was rarely coming but now a days it is increasing. means after each 2 or 3 minutes it is occuring.
3.After 3 month it will become very slow and start hanging with small use also.
4.If you are looking at this mobile please keep these problems in mind.But I will suggest do not go for this mobile.

my sony xperia u was corrupt it will not open due, it did not finish rebooting because i take out the battery, what should i do.

Cant you access contacts through Sony PC Companion if connect your phone to the PC?

As u say that u have facing the 'apps unexpectedly closed' problem. U just have to follow the following steps to solve the problem.
1) Go to setting menu
2) Developer option
3) Last option in developer option ' Show All ANR'
4) Just untick this option
5) The problem get solved totally.

I was really impressed with the phone apart from the screen cracking in my pocket. 10 months on I cant access my contacts, look at missed calls or open contacts to text. I went to the o2 shop and they said it was a software problem and warranty invalid due to small crack in screen. Great!!! All o2 then wanted was for me to buy a new contract. Really dissapointed with phone and company!

Last two days im facing a big issue in this U mobile.
" when im using social apps (Facebook & Whats app) from my mobile, contact list completely disable and calls unable to make a dial .
when i logout whatsapp & facebook again it will work as it is.One popup message will come every time "The application contacts (process.com sony erricsion. android social phone book has stopped.)unexpectedly please try again. Pls suggest me what is the solution for my problem.

Some people have been unlucky enough to have two or three failures. I got my touchscreen replaced under warranty by Sony, and it's been fine since as far as I know (I gave the phone to my wife shortly after) but I fear it might prove a problem again. If you download a touchscreen testing app (the one in Function Validation isn't really adequate) you may observe some clear patterns in where touch does and does not reliably register.

bullshit phone sony make.. i have never used sony phone before it ,, i thinked it's good to be used sony one ,but really crapy phone , and i broke it myself..
