over all the phone is gud
but the batter back up is bad in ics
the bad thing is ram is only 512mb
ram and battery back up is not gud in this phone

danial, 30 Nov 2012shold i update this phone to ics or just leave Gingerbread?If you don't desperately want the new features and your GB is working well for you, it's not a compelling upgrade. My experience is that it's "good in parts" - new features are nice but far from essential, and there are a few issues I'm not sure if there will be further updates for before Jellybean (which is not certain to be released, only rumour).
Best new feature is probably the Extended Standby Mode setting, which may significantly increase battery life when the phone is not in active use. However that is countered by the phone seemingly using a bit MORE battery when in active use, due to the memory being a bit on the low side for ICS (apps need to reload more often when switching, which all takes power).

It ranger from 10 to 100% and the brightness is related to the bar light too. I'm almost always inside, but when going outside I better take it to 11 or I won't notice it.

azzy, 29 Nov 2012hiii guyzz I m frm mumbai n I m currntly usin xperia u........ moreYes, it is very dim, and seems to be by design. You do not have a faulty unit. Note also that if you upgrade to ICS, the notification light does not operate at all.
You can however use an app such as http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rundgong.illuminationcontrol to make the coloured bar at the bottom light up instead.

hi...is there any problem with sony experia u in detecting signal of at&t..because my phone is not able to detect sometimes and if i switch off and on then it works ,why is it so?by morning i woke up its like my phone dosnt have signal and i shud switch off and on..its trouble every time.cant receive calls..any solution?

Iam from india and i have got a update on pc companion of 6.1.1.B.1.10 which is of ICS for my xperia U sould i update it or not iam confused since i heard many bad reviews regarding the new ICS os update that it lags a lot and many other problems .
Please suggest me ??
