do you think i have a defective battery right... moreCan't be sure, sorry. Generally modern batteries do not need the super-long first charge that they traditionally used to. If (on Gingerbread) the little lightning bolt in the taskbar disappears, the battery is no longer being charged at all, so it doesn't matter how much longer it is plugged in. On ICS, the lightning bolt seems never to disappear, unfortunately, so you can't tell for sure when it's absolutely finished.
As well as weak mobile or wi-fi signal as mentioned, other significant factors in heavy battery use (especially while actively using) include screen brightness, GPS, Bluetooth.

pol, 22 Nov 2012i just purchased an xperia u last sun and the battery easil... morehi there..mine is working fine even using youtube for quite a while..but my version is st25a..what about yours? or maybe because you installed too much games?

I bought an Xperia U ten days back and have upgraded it to ICS operating system. The phone was working fine. Suddenly since yesterday, the speaker seems to have stopped working, I am not able to get the caller ring sound, voices on call, music sounds etc. I have tried the following:
Confirmed that all ringer volumes are at maximum
confirmed that phone is not on silent mode
done a complete factory reset ( to avoid any mistakes in settings)
I am still not getting any sound, what could be the problem and how to resolve it?

I think this is the smartest phone of it's size. Yes I'm a heavy phone user but I don't want to hold a skateboard or pingpong. Xperia U perfectly fits in my hands. The illumination bar makes people jelly specially when I go to parties. Small yet powerful phone.

do you think i have a defective battery right from the very start? i'm sorry for asking too much questions, i just wanna know how long should i charge my battery during initial charging, because what i did is i just wait for the battery icon to show full charge and then i immediately used it. do you think that is the cause of my problem? thanks for your help. :)

Latest time between charges for me (with ICS update) was about 3.5 days to 15%, with frequent email, Facebook etc checks, occasional maps, GPS etc. So it should be lasting longer, so long as you don't have very weak wi-fi or mobile signal.

i just purchased an xperia u last sun and the battery easily gets drained. after accessing internet for 15mins almost 30% of battery depleted or after playing temple run for about an hour 45% of battery easily gets drained is this normal?what is the normal average battery life of xperia when using internet?any suggestions to resolve this issue?your answers would very much appreciated. thanks in advance. :)
