          2. sometimes it's camera refused to open up
3.I have noticed a overheating issue today even I m not using this that time
except that this everything is quite good, camera quality battery life touchscreen responsivness display quality everything is very fine.I can only await to Sony to fix these problems with Ics update.I hope that Sony will not let down people's like me

Sony is an excellent phone in audio part and good in video part(colour patches and roling when panning). The main thing we may not look into is its SAR value. SAR is high for most of the SONY mobiles when compare with other mobiles. SAR (at the ear / head) of xperia u is 1.62, xperia S is .78 ,xperia solo is 1.25. SAR of the body may be thrice the above value normally.so carefully read SAR before going thru the other features and buy

hello, 08 Oct 2012hello I have a xperia u, and i dont know how to update my c... moreHardly anyone here has yet upgraded, so you probably won't get a step-by-step guide. In short though, you need to install Sony Update Service, or PC Companion (which has an update option) and follow the prompts, which generally involve pressing a button while plugging the phone in, in a powered off state.

However, the ICS update is being released to phones in phases by SI number (and if your phone is network branded rather than SIM-free you will almost certainly have much longer to wait) so it may not be available to you yet anyway. For instance my SI number (under the battery) is 1262-0728, which appears not yet to be on the list, and I don't want to risk updating to the rubbish last version of 2.3.7 that some people have, so am holding off for the moment.
