U have mentioned 4.0.3 android ver... moreyou should'nt update your phone, as i have used ICS for like a month and it made experia U quite a slow phone,mostly it freezes during incoming calls, and phone lags alot! even in basic applications such as messaging,then i asked sony customer people to again update my phone and when i got my phone back it had gingerbread AOS, and that really made me happy as this works best with gingerbread, so be happy with it, else it would be too hard to use phone.

I have been using this phone for a year now. It came with android gingerbread and I had a really nice experience with it. Highended games like Most wanted and fifa13 worked smoothly with absolutely no lag. Yes the screen size is a bit small and the video quality is also not that good. But dual core processor is an advantage which would compensate the above flaws for gamers like me. Well I upgraded it to 4.0.4 a couple of weaks back and now the phone lags even while opening contacts. Only advantage is that battery management is excellent. I would advice all the users of xperia U not to upgrade the phone and carry on with gingerbread.

U have mentioned 4.0.3 android version. Means U have 4.0.3 ICS version in ur Xperia-U? Which version is better. I m using this phone since last one year on gingerbread and not facing any issue. I went in somy shop they told me that ICS 4.0 version is better. Now I m little bit confused between 4.0 and 4.0.3. Please clarify.

Album, Walkman,...And the latest trend of this time...i.e. BBM also works(its only for phones with 4.0.3 adroid version)

slayer11, 31 Oct 2013Go for xperia P or M they are way bettter than this ! i agree with you on going on buying Xperia P....but xperia m??umm...NO..user accesible internal memory is only 1.74GB....which means...you wont be able to play great games like NFS most wanted or The dark knight Rises,etc. even though it has a memory card slot..Xperia U has OTG

I purchased sony experia E duos with lot of trust on Sony brand. I used it for two days and found that it is any phone worth Rs.2000/- is better than this phone. Call recording apps are not working on this phone. Moreover operation of this phone is not user friendly. it is very difficult to operate.
Please do not weste ur money by pusrchasing useless phones like this

I have used this phone 6 months in pune location
when i purchased that time phone was very good working but after few days its creating issues
Screen response issue
Big problem is with Network issue
i had replace mobile board and display all thing
but problem is not resolved
Sony mobiles service is horrible in India
if you submit your mobile into service center
after that you have leave your mobile 1 month at service center
after one month there is no guaranty to it will repair
every one user facing same issue
few user made complaint into consumer
so please don't purchase Sony mobiles

Please do not buy this phone. The battery does not last for even a day and the software updates are not supported.

i have a xperia u 4months old only but i have a problem not registering the touch on the lower right corner. Is there any fix for that

You can't have a phone that's lagging when you're trying to make a call.
Works good after resetting the phone, but after a week lagging is back...without installing any applications...like skype or torch
And after 14 months touch screen failed to respond...!

Hopefully my 2TVs and BD set not gonna go same way...
Time to change the brand...
I'm going to start it with my phone tomorrow .
