To do so, go to camera mode then toggle the menu in bottom right then choose resolution. There you will be able to choose which pixel you want to use. ^_^

This phone is just awesome! the battery life is just splendid and the performance is great too.
camera pixel can be adjust in camera mode then hit settings you can choose there which pixel you would like to use from VGA camera to 5mp camera use.

Most people experiencing problem with clarity have not removed the plastic film from over the lens. Easily forgotten since I don't think it's mentioned in the guide. You will need to take the back off to get to it.

Im pretty sure you could use a memory stick if you do some research on you tube even, and also there is sonys pc companion for saving media....maybe even dropbox from playstore could help for storage....(i havent used it yet)

Not sure about what chipset. As for unlocked.....well I managed to get my girlfriends arc s NEW in the jan sales from buymobilephones.net. We got an excellent deal from tmobile (at the buymobilephones site) for 15pcm with unlimited browsing and 500 mgb. It came unlocked and amazingly (as you may know) they allow unlimited downloading (deffinetely over 500mgb) before 4pm. Basically if you use the 500 mgb's up, then after 4pm you can only browse. But in the morning (and probably after 12pm "offpeak") you can download as much as you like...or so it seems....up until 4pm etc. However, I got my sgs refurbished via buymobilephones.net from 3, but mine was refurbished....in excellent condition. This xu looks good if you are a gamer...just from experience I have to delete games so I can fit others on my sgs. And the internal memory is much larger on sgs. So I "guess" you would only be able to fit maybe 3 maximum of the large data hd games on the xu. I have asphalt 7 (over 1.2 gb) on my sgs, mc3, dead space, duke nukem, mc2, real racing, shine runner,riptide,fast five,krazy kart, tikki kart and have 259 mb spare on my 1gb memory card, and 79 mgb on usb storage of the 5.64 GB usb storage (which is the phones internal memory). The reason im only using 1 gb sd card is the games often take up the internal memory even when moved to sd. (and I have no pics or vids on this memory card consuming memory). Personally for gaming its a real plus to play via tv out cable, and especially driving games, and after a lot of effort im now able to play mc3 in multiplayer as im happy with my control set up ( and people online are far more skilled than playing the campaign game). You do lose some of the quality of the hd games through tv out, but as they are often hd, or sharp anyway, then it hardly matters. The only game affected for playability is real racing, since I cannot see corners in the distance as clear....but I prefer it on the tv anyway. Looks a bargain this phone....however for just gaming ,vids etc then the Google nexus7 Tablet by asus, has an awesome gpu and 7inch screen and I think its dual core (only supports wifi though), and is amazingly £159 or less. And also supports ps3 and xbox controller on many tegra games (see youtube)

Xu is £129 on upgrade but im on 3network - for the unlimited data - used 9gb last month so 3 definitely right network. If I got a handset from phones 4u would it be unlocked even if I got it on another network? Say if I bought xu on tmobile upgrade would I be able to stick my 3sim in? I bought a phone from there a year ago and was suprised to find it unlocked. They've also brought xperia play back from the dead at £129!

this phone is just awesome. but im not happy with the operating system android. this is my first android set. in my Symbian set i was the man who decided which app to be closed but in this it seems like android itself is the user of this mobile phone. it closes app according to its choice even it was necessary to me. And what can i say about the advertisement??? Every application seems like a tv serial and advertisement is going on and on all the time when i am connected to internet. It just hampers the user experience and i seem to loose my concentration. The operating system is a mess. Sorry for being off topic here but The handset is really cool. Its the type of handset people will remember after 10 years and talk about its unique design.

Otherwise I've heard you can download the dlna software to your phone for free. Also sonys vscreens is free from playstore. Both show vids and pics to a pc, laptop. Not so sure about the vid quality of vscreens, better for pics I've read. Search up dlna otherwise.
