So you can expect that to be latest by Diwali in India...V is probably going to replace Xperia-S.

In my opinion,they r all good,in samsung there best smart phone is note 2,i say this because i have a friend working there and he is the person who test the samsung phone before they launch.
In sony,the better one xperia v compare to other xperia eventhough it has a vga front facing camera.but even a vga is a good resolution also,its clear by way.vga is not so demand at all,if youwant a wholesome smart phone then xperia v is the one you r looking for,no dout,it will complete to your life.
If you want only a camera,buy a sonycybershot phone in japan,16megapixel.but you want a complete one,choose xperia v not xperia t coz it not a water or dust proof.
You want to know the price,in Phillipines,normally 30+k x42$
Soon it will come out in the market,just count 2 weeks or less,..
I am waiting also for this.
Samsung rug is coming also,that is there water and dust resist.

AnonD-72666, 14 Oct 2012front camera (VGA) what does that mean?? please answer thanks!!stands for the resolution the front camera has (the one used for video calling), vga resolution = 640x480 so that is the resolution you will get on your pictures and video taken by this camera, the MAIN/primary camera is the rear camera and it has a 13 MP resolution
whereas higher resolution is usually better this is no problem for me cause i don't really use video calling, and the other person will experience less lag than with higher resolutions (but you can always change the settings)
