adonis.warrior, 12 Oct 2012No new news about this, I guess there is not chance of comi... morea semi-qualified guess said end of november, but it depends ofcorse where in the world you live. Some countries will not the Xperia V at all, Sony is as usual making weird business decisions to make sure they will not sell too much. For example in Norway Sony said only the V will be sold, the T and TX is a no go. Norway has LTE to some extent (was first in the world) but demand for LTE phones is not yet overwhelming there, and if LTE is Sonys reason then why dont Sony sell the LTE enabled Xperia T there? Sony always do weird things that hurts no1 but themselves, just look at what they did to their tablets to make sure they be failures, so weird and eccentric, and in the countries where people where weird enough to buy it? Sonys statement was "our tablets will unfortunately not be available in your country".

rigelstuff, 10 Oct 2012Sony is becoming like Samsung, cranking out phone after pho... moreThey may look identical to non-xperia users, but surely they're quite different in xperia users' eyes as Xperia V built from arched design like Arc, but now more Sony-styled. Anyway, Sony always plant its new technologies inside its new Xperia. As for Xperia V, it includes new tech such as sensor-on-lens (display), Mobile Bravia Engine 2, OptiContrast Panel (display), ClearAudio+ (intelligently add some degree of clarity to highly-compressed audio files), High Dynamic Range (HDR camera), and some more. And I think it has the new Exmor RS sensor with the camera, or anyone can correct me if I'm wrong. :)

RAJ, 10 Oct 2012hey guys.... below link is xperia v camera video sample.... moreYes thats filmed with stabilizer, the stuttering is not due to movements but is caused by dropped frames. I have to say that this sample clip was more than a disappointment, but i think it will be acceptable at 720p, obviously the Xperia V is not fast enough to do 1080p recording with stable framerate.

Its funny how much better video quality you get with Samsungs nowadays, S3 and NoteII are both many times better than this.

rigelstuff, 10 Oct 2012Sony is becoming like Samsung, cranking out phone after pho... moreLets see,
                            Xperia Acro S - Xperia V
                            12.1 mp - 13.1 mp
Xperia ion design - Xperia Arc design
                            Snapdragon - Krait
                            xLoud - Clear audio+
Bravia Engine - Bravia Engine 2
shutter key - no shutter key

They're not the same. They have a lot of differences. But since they have the same screen size & IP57 certified, its like an upgrade of Acro S. :)

Sony is becoming like Samsung, cranking out phone after phone. The Xperia V has practically the same specs as the Acro S, with an incremental upgrade to the camera, and a replaceable battery. Otherwise they're virtually identical.

AnonD-74994, 08 Oct 2012No HDMI, Secondary Cam VGA only. No much reason to upgrade ... moreJust an opinion of course but personally I think the Xperia V looks OK, certainly much nicer than the previous Xperia models like the S which do not really seem to have been designed at all, tith the contents just having been stuffed into a rectangular box with sharp edges and corners that are likely to make holes in pockets.
Anyway, the greatest facet of the Xperia V for me is the fact that is dust-proof and water-resistant. Such phones are not surprisingly very popular in Japan. The question is: will any UK network take up the V and release it here. I certainly hope so and I knoiw others are hoping they will too.
