AnonD-74994, 08 Oct 2012No HDMI, Secondary Cam VGA only. No much reason to upgrade ... moreJust an opinion of course but personally I think the Xperia V looks OK, certainly much nicer than the previous Xperia models like the S which do not really seem to have been designed at all, tith the contents just having been stuffed into a rectangular box with sharp edges and corners that are likely to make holes in pockets.
Anyway, the greatest facet of the Xperia V for me is the fact that is dust-proof and water-resistant. Such phones are not surprisingly very popular in Japan. The question is: will any UK network take up the V and release it here. I certainly hope so and I knoiw others are hoping they will too.

No HDMI, Secondary Cam VGA only. No much reason to upgrade from an Xperia S. Plus internal memory is on the downside although you can upgrade. Quite lucklastre design too.

KHALED, 04 Oct 2012now we need some one to help us both :$ sorry :pIts for the dock, used to connect TV's, keyboard, etc. while charging the phone. Sony mid to high-end phones have these feature. They call it "Smart Dock" (like the Smart Tags) however, it is not included in the box.

Look at the Xperia P dock here,

Is the screen better than Xperia P without whitemagic?

Actually i don't need the brightest, just want a superior display. So Sony is this better?

You've got the size at my sweet spot.

Based on the prices of Xperia ion LTE and Xperia acro S, the Xperia V would range between 340 to 460 EUR. But for sure it would be lower than what the price of the Xperia T is which is £400 or more.

Is the 1750 mAh battery removable?

Also, early shipments of this handset would start on December 3 in Europe. So expect the rest of the globe to get it on 2013.

Xperia Sola is easily one of the best value for money midrange phones you can get, its Android 4.0.4 update has already started, it has dual core and good graphics chip, and the somewhat unique hovering touch feature, but no front cam and the battery could have been bigger. Its very cheap, i would not mind having one myself.
