not forgetting that apple charge more
and thats only a 720p display and has a smaller screen with a 16gb storage
but... like sony they are optimised very well, its not always the higher the spec sheet the better the phone

your talking about prise and where i live it costs with a mobile subscription what is equal to 324£ or 435€ and that is not to bad since it normaly cost in gb (i live in denmark) more then 100£ more only for the phone

Hello there!
My opinion on SONY X (Just my opinion after doing some reading+research,well of course am using it as well)
1. Is the price too high? Definitely!
Counter:But..... it's worth for a quality product. I used Z1 before and it lasts for more than 2 years and I have only one issue with it, the battery. (Maybe I am lucky? NO!) I used it to play games that require the phone to 'work very hard'.
2. Qualcomm 650 series are bad?
Seriously guys read the Qualcomm 650 capabilities. It wasn't that bad (Well, can't compare with Qualcomm 820 though but, the price will sure be different if they use 820 series. Regretfully, it was too bad that SONY did not use the newest 652 series but why bother to use a newer series and pay more if you just need a mid-ranger phone?
(Pay less get less, pay more get more, as simple as that)
3. Xperia X battery
Seriously, the battery they used is different and in fact they increased use a better battery which increases it life span. So a 2600+ mAH battery does not mean that it is the same with other brand phones which have the same capacity.
4. Xperia X awkward button position?
Seriously?
5. Comparing sony with Samsung ( I don't want to comment on the comparison made with HTC as I only used Nokia, Samsung, Huawei and Sony phones.)
Well, let us start with counting how many version of Samsung phone out there?
The quality? The specification? Do they really value quality?
Yes, please answer yourself.
6. All in all, sony X is a mid-ranger phone for a very high price but offer you a decent specification and quality. As I still believe Japan products (Sorry, a little bit bias here but I think it's true compare with Huawei and Xiaomi and other phones.As so far, I did not hear from my friends who are using the phone lasts for more than 2 years. Not sure about you)

And check out gaming performance playing Assassin creed S7 lags Xperia X shutter free Super smooth.
And display of the new xperia X is the best ips panel i have ever seen. It looks and has an Amoled Effect.
Check youtube reviews don't just come into conclusions from specs.

Had problems with my old phone so i had to get a new one, it was better to buy a new then trying to fix my phone
I choose it over the huawei p9 since it had better battery time and camera, cpu and gpu is faster then my old phone according to quadrant standard 3gb ram 6 core cpu and more powerfull gpu, not as big as my old phone but stil in the category big

Why so many people talking about ram? 3 gb is worthy, or they think that more ram means more speed,i don't know how much of ram the marshmallow use but i think 3gb already huge according to a smartphone.

3gb ram.. it goes old now for this price range 4gb ram is better..

honestly saying i m fan of sony i m using c5 ultra..
and xperia x is a good phone.. but at this price.. its not worth every penny... not at all..

Disappointed to get hand on experieince of Xperia X yesterday. Not worth for the price. Z5 or Z3 are far better than Xperia X. No dedicated slot of micro SD Card as mentioned in the specifications. Rather in dual version have to forego one of SIM. Also design is not encouraging.
Overall disappointed.
