Sony lens is pathetic mid frame and border. Head to head comparison it doesn't stand a chance. Not even Sony flagship has anything on current flagships from competition, neither will it ever in future.

Add the 950 to the comparison, then, importantly, drag the green box on the iso image to the mid frame and to the border and see how terribly blurry the Sony sample is. See how clean the 950 sample is? Guess you wont, stuck on planet Sony. That is assuming you know how to use the tool.         But for right now, according to DXoMark at least, the S7 (nothing but a glorified Instagram filter cam, according to you) is superior to the Z5 as far as the overall camera is concerned.

        And I don't care what Sony says, there is no such thing as mid-ranger at above £500. If that is what they are charging for their midrange offerings, then I dread to think what their supposed new flagships are going to cost

          And yet s7 video stutters, wobbles and has serious autofocus issues in lowlight

          And yet I trust that Sonys midranger X will win over flagship S7 once it is out and tested by dxomark

              Hey please... Don't worry from trolling. They are Samsung fan for sure. They like laggy crap phones. For me Samsung sucks and I won't buy Samsung phone even with 8GB ram.

                My friend has z5c, nor he in a month of usage, nor me while playing with it for an hour experienced any overheat issue
                Took some 20 shots with it, in all aspect ratios and mpx options, none of that blur you rant about...
                Really, You should stop speculating off your prejudice...

                  Now it's the of peak of downfall. Average display, cheap plastic body, so so camera in terms of sensor size, f. length, ois, etc. By by Sony, it's time to shift.

                        You guys already knew about the Mi5, S7 and all other SD820 variants reigning kings on benchmarks, this Sony won't be any different from them, just 5.0"(smallest of 'em all) 1080p reso and near stock android this phone will be amazingly fast.

Especially playback, as it supports hi-rez audio and has dual front firing speakers, while the S7 has 1 mono (on the bottom) that sounds distorted because It's water resistance. Sony has been doing water resistance in there mobile devices for longer.

                                        I am a Sony fanboy, I have Z1 Compact and Z5 right now, had Z3 in the past, but this phone is a shame. First of all, it is ugly, than it is worse in EVERY SINGLE feature, than Samsung S7.
                                        Bigger, thicker, the screen size is smaller, lower resolution, less RAM, no OIS and have smaller battery.
                                        Than IT IS PLASTIC... at least its' side panels.

                                        WHAT, I ask again WHAT? What the hell???
                                        Sony just forgot how to make phones. 2 years ago, I buy my first Sony Z, because it was way superior, than cheap plastic, crappy Samsung S (and S minis).
                                        Z3 was metal and glass, Z5 is a huge stepback with its plastic back panel, and now this.

                                        Sorry Sony, my next phone will be a Samsung S7 (or maybe an S7 mini if it will come).
                                        Unfortunately Sony is lost somewhere in time and space. Give it up, boys, you are knocked out from the game...
