Sony, I shall always be a fan but afraid there appears to be a disconnect in our aspirations! I want top end, stars, lights and cameras, the full works which includes a beautiful 2K screen and specs to duke it out with the best out there. You were on the right path with the Z5, especially the Z5 Premium and then you go shatter my dreams and expectations. Ordinarily, I would recover and perhaps continue our mutually satisfactory relationship but you see, there is one problem! I have also fallen for the Huawei Nexus 6P and there is no going backwards, sideways, only upwards! My base line is now the Nexus 6P and the X Performance simply is not good enough to tempt me back into the Sony fold...Well, I guess all good things come to an end....we move on! I move on...! Good bye, it has been quite a ride!!

There are only a certain number of designs surely for modern handsets. Without making phones difficult to hold or impractical, there are a finite number of designs possible.

- FHD is optimum for 5 Inch displays. Anything above is waste. So how does it matter if it has FHD?
You always complain xperia's display poor because it has FHD display.
Anyways no matter talking to you..you never get it.

There have been rumours here in the UK for several years that the FM signal is being turned off imminently, therefore if makes sense that FM radios are no longer a necessity on phones. Besides, with the likes of Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, et al, why do we need a radio these days anyways?!?

- Yes, They are lazy. Even fans often say cybershot phone, with xenon, with walkman etc= win. Is that difficult? it isnt, They are only lazy.

- Old design. Its beautiful, but yes, old. Still using FLAP and metal back+plastic (Fact). Just like gal tab 7.7. I think If there is unexperienced company try to make metal phone it will results XP like design.
- FHD is cheaper than QHD (especially Superamoled).(Fact)
- Emmc cheaper than ufs 2.0 (fact)

It's fun to see what they can come up with (like thinking I'm 3 different people using different nicknames - like I can be in 3 different countries at the same time, hint : encoded location ID is not the same between the co-accused names, very intelligent that was).
Anyway, we can draw a strong conclusion between the SD820 and it's Exynos counterpart in the S6 (Exynos 7420). The Exynos 8890 (S7) will be even better. As I mentioned before, there are benchmarks out already. I haven't got much hope for power and heat efficiency in the XP, although the metal body might help.
The camera is arguably the same as in the Z5 which gets this review statement from gsma : "Sony's new 23MP sensor shows great promise. But regardless of how powerful the hardware is, the camera image quality is still susceptible to recurring issues such as corner softness, high levels of noise and watercolor like effect on fine repetitive detail such as walls, foliage or grass." "The dynamic range is disappointing though and you may have to switch to HDR more often than usual."
What I do like about the camera though is the wide FOV.
Unlike fanboys I don't just thumb suck stuff ;)
It's not like I hate Sony.

There are some concerns surrounding power efficiency and GPU producing too much heat. Maybe the metal body of the XP is there to act as a heat sink (apart from aesthetics)?

The motherboard model no. For my Moto G is XT1039, the model number. And my Z1C's motherboard model no. Is D5503.
So for Z2 it'll be D6502/ or some thing.
How on earth will Samsung make motherboards for others... Lol.

Huge bezels, thick, heavy AND a relatively small battery. I was hoping to go with sony if they improved on form factor and screen to body ratio, but this is a huge regression on all fronts for no good reason. It seems like everything was sacrificed.

I thinks this ia an.octa core mobile..bt gsmarena mention about 2 dual cores only...can some one explaing that???and this is a mobile with SD820..so every one expect 4k recording on this mobile..but i dont think that feature is on this mobile..at least it cant record 1080p@60fps ...(according to gsmarna)))my quection is Y???

sony is not alert what is the smartphone trend these days. 2016 high end phones should be come with usb type C. it's so lame this beast comes with microusb v2.0 only. and absolutely with overprice price tag. They also can't catch up the market right now. there are numerous manufacturers offer high spec phones with reasonable price. Goodbye sony, you silently dig your own grave.
