I've always wanted to try the Xperia device but unfortunately, compared to the S7: worse camera (more megapixels 23 vs. 12 means the pixels in Sony are smaller and therefore capture less light. Additionally - there's no optical image stabilization on the Xperia so even worse pictures). S7 has bigger battery which is important to me. Also the S7 has 4GB of RAM and better display (QHD vs. FHD) although I don't care about anything bigger that FHD in phones.
So the Xperia falls behind in some key areas like camera quality and battery life.

and still sony is trying to figure out why are they failing?? Look at those huge bezels, samsung and LG have body to screen ratios between 70-77% and sony is maintaining 66% screen to body ratio....sad...
btw new material is nice but lets see of it is durable or not....

It looks like Sony is too shy to unveil Xperformance's price. But if the X to cost €599, x performance will be €699. The same price with S7.
I still dont get why sony phones are always too pricey. The hardware is standard, light modded UI, no additional hardware. I thought its because producing waterproof phone is very complicated and costy.
Now, Sammy also has that feature and the price is still more reasonable.

why 3GB Ram?? snapdragon 820 has 4gb.it has adreno 530 but screen is fullhd instead of QHD
and like always there is no ir Port,how dissapointing

Sony trying to dig their own grave, I see.
They release a "little less than a flagship" phone which is better than their already released full fledged flagship (which is only a few months old)
Strangely, the X series phone will only be released after 4 months, and by that time, hype will die for the series and people lose interest. And a few months after X Performance releases, Sony will release the Z6, making the X Performance pointless.
Sure, the X Performance is an amazing phone, but was it necessary to release it this soon? What about the Z5 owners?
