    He also fragments the business, so all business should be profitable by themselves not to rely on other lucrative business.

    The only good thing is tech sharing. So even if Sony mobile RD have not resulted anything since 2012, they still get shared tech from other Sony, like screen tech, sound tech, and contents from Sony music and sony pictures, exclusive camera sensors from Sony semiconductor and solutions.

Sony's CEO is to blame too for sure. Well if what you said is true, that's awful b/c R&D is what gives companies their edge, so cutting back on funding for that dept is beyond stupid. I am so tired of waiting for them to "wake up" though. They just keep slipping every year, despite that I still LOVE their phones. Just wish I could have a shot at running things. I could make Sony Mobile KING in the US and the world if I just had a chance to. lol People would be like "Sam-what?!" and "iWho?!" LOL

He isn't as powerful as other ceo, like Apple CEO, or Xiaomi CEO. After finished Ericsson acquisition in 2012 they lost almost all their cash. Then Sony new CEO (more powerful than Sony mobile CEO) Kazuo Hirai came.

            We don't know exactly what happened there. What should he does is bailing sony mobile, so it can run the business properly. But he made cost cutting programe instead, n focused on profitable business, what a fatal mistake. Sony mobile cutted a lot cost in RD and marketing, and saved it for production dept.

The disclaimer below is just so Sony Mobile can cover their a$$. As long you don't go super crazy with it in the water or go TOO deep (below 3.29 feet or 1 meter), it should be fine. Read below though. Maximum time to keep it underwater (at 3.29 feet or above) is 30 minutes.

All they care about is make and sell. They dont advertise like how Apple or Samsung does, they dont make enhance or improve their phones really and they dont provide good costumer support. What bugged me the most, until now, is moving away from America, China and India. What the? Moving away from three of the biggest markets of the world, how idiotic. You cant call that strategy, Stupidity is the right word. They even remove the fingerprint scanner on the Xperia X/Performance US versions which is super pathetic. I still love Sony even though they are very idiotic. Its the only smartphone company that I love.

It is very smooth till now and even faster after marshmallow update. Sony phones are well optimised. That's why Sony phones work better with 3GB ram than Samsung with 4GB ram. Specs, benchmark and real life experience are different things. Yes, Sony releases new phones later but quality is amazing. So, go for Sony.

It's really ALL Sony Mobile's fault for their idiotic marketing & sales depts, as well as their jacka$$ of a CEO. Their phones are works of art and to me other phones just don't hold up. The only reason Samsung and Apple sell more phones is b/c they do a much better job of holding the public's interest by advertising, establishing a NAME & REPUTATION that ppl care about, etc. I think the FACT that HTC, Apple, & Samsung all use Sony's camera sensors says a lot about who REALLY is the king of smartphones.

                                  All I know is, no other line of phones amazes me like Sony's Xperia line does. It's like they built these phones after reading my mind. Just little features here & there (Smart Call Handling, Smart Connect, STEREO speakers on the FRONT where they f'ing belong), the style of the phone, the EASE of use (many have said Sony's phones are virtually STOCK or vanilla Android), the high class feel of it, etc. To me, they are the MASERATI of smartphones.

                                  I can say their phones are not really good, they are EXCELLENT. But the ppl running the show......... don't have a f'ing CLUE what they are doing. If I were running things, Sony's Xperia phones would be WAY more sought after than Apple or Samsung's phones are. They both make really nice phones, but they're both also OVERRATED too. Sony needs to stop hiding in the shadows and step back out and retake their seat at the throne. But that will never happen as long as they cease to advertise in the US, make idiotic decisions like taking out the fingerprint software on their US Xperia phones, taking F'ING FOREVER to release their phones (announced in Feb, released in June/July for the XP?!! WTF??!!), having a really lousy customer support center, etc. Sony Mobile's CEO needs to grow some balls or go F himself already. I f'ing hate all of them and I wish they had the courage to read what ppl like me (and many many others) are saying about them. Maybe then they'd wise up and turn their company around instead of watching it diminish away while LESSER phone companies take their place at the top.
