AnonD-122669, 06 Jun 2016Is it going to have international waranty ?I don't think so but it is so much cheaper.
Plus it's 64GB with two sim slots.

and I doubt it will break in a year time so I should be ok. worst case, just pay sony to repair it.

After finding out that the Sony XP may not always work when calling from indoors on T-Mobile's network, AND that I can't get phone insurance on it b/c it's unlocked, I've decided to just go ahead and buy the HTC 10 through T-Mobile. Sony Mobile has made a great phone, but they also have made this WAYYYY too much of a hassle for me. HTC cares about their customers (and has made a GREAT phone too, which in some ways is better than the XP), while Sony Mobile CLEARLY doesn't give a F. So F them. If they ever decide to get back with T-Mobile, I'll reconsider them. But I'm done with all this nonsense.

Hope you guys enjoy your phones! Remember, if in the U.S., only get the XP if you have AT&T. Then you will be fine for Band 12 usage during a call. Not sure on smaller providers, but for big ones, it must be one with a GSM network and that doesn't require VoLTE-certification to use Band 12 on a call the way T-Mobile does.

Tann Hauser, 06 Jun 2016Z1c rules B-) Getting XP....Im jelaous now :-) Tann,

Talked to T-Mobile and Sony Mobile too (tech depts). If I get the XP, I won't be able to use it for calls if I'm getting Band 12 only b/c it doesn't have T-Mobile-certified VoLTE. If I switch to AT&T however I'd be ok b/c they don't require that certification, but I'd much prefer to stay with T-Mobile. My other option is to get the HTC 10 unlocked and that one HAS BEEN certified by T-Mobile for VoLTE, b/c HTC actually gives a s*it about its customers, unlike someone we know. lol So I'll see. Gonna go check out the 10 a little later tonight.

                    Tann,

Ok if you're sure they have VoLTE capabilities on it then that's good, though of course it's not officially listed, so perhaps it still needs to be turned on by Sony? I don't know how it all works.

A friend carrying from Asia to UK. Should get it around 20 June.
Really excited and will update how it is and how the camera performs.
btw, I'm still using Z1C. lol. it's still sound and solid.

I believe Sony do best on all of it (I can't trusting Samsung anymore, it is a cheap and tricky), so the link show the Qnovo charge is ensure and prolong the battery lifespan.

"For end-to-end Full-HD Voice calls to succeed however, both the caller and recipient's handsets as well as """networks""" have to support the feature."

So I believe its up to network providers to provide it, and manufacturers to put support for it into the phone, as in support of needed codecs, which Sony has ( as stated so in X Performance white paper)

The only hope is that Sony deploys an update to all XP phones that enables it. But the Z5 never got that update either, so it's hard for me to believe Tann that Sony has any plans to add it in. So unless they do, my options are to unhappily switch to AT&T (they DO NOT require that dumb certification, and so VoLTE isn't necessary), or just get the unlocked HTC 10 and use it on my T-Mobile's network. What to do Tann?? lol

Well having the T-Mobile-certified VoLTE will allow the phone to ALSO utilize HD Voice as well, so they go hand-in-hand.

I don't care for it either. But I need T-Mobile-certified VoLTE in order to fully utilize the Band 12 spectrum while ON a phone call. For example, if I'm in a building and can only get Band 12, without T-Mobile-certified VoLTE, I would NOT be able to make or take a call (regardless of signal strength), with exception to 911. That's why this is an issue for ANYONE living in the U.S.

Do or can carriers grant such a thing on an individual basis??! I mean, that would be incredibly awesome if they did, but have you ever heard of a carrier actually doing that??

Well Sony could've made that request, but they're too busy making their customers miserable by waiting forever and not knowing what they're getting. lol HTC however did so on even their unlocked HTC 10 phones. It's called giving a s#it about your costumers. lol

                                        I dont see why not....
Xperia has all the needed tech and codecs for it so....

You should ask T mobile if they will give you the certification included into your monthly provided plan...
Its upto the provider, not the phone manufacturer to provide that certification...
