hey panda,

Well the way it was explained to me is that it's actually NOT enough to have VoLTE on the phone. It is if I'm using AT&T here in the U.S. (though no LTE for data during a call, but I don't care about that, just want VoLTE for the phone calls themselves so can fully use Band 12), but for T-Mobile, Sony has to have the VoLTE on the XP get CERTIFIED by T-Mobile for it to work on their network.

It has VoLTE (HD+) and Hi-Res something on the box at the minute 3:53, while it seems to be provided by the carrier NTT DoCoMo. So, yeah you should try to ask T-Mobile if they will cover XP's VoLTE or wait for their announcement.
Perhaps this one might help? http://www.spectrumgateway.com/compatible-phones

        Tann,

ANY chance of Sony getting VoLTE-certification from T-Mobile you think like HTC did for the 10??

XP has qnovo, and quickcharge 3.0 capability, meaning you can use either qc2.0 or qc3.0 with it...qnovo is related to battery, it doesnt depend upon the kind of charger.
US site offers qc 2.0 uhc10, so you should look elswhere for qc3.0 uhc 12, if you want one

Well that would be the U.S. version of the X Performance which had those features taken out. The full specs for it can be found on the U.S. Sony Mobile website here: http://www.sonymobile.com/us/products/phones/xperia-x-performance/specifications/

The int'l/global version however appears to have everything: http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/products/phones/xperia-x-performance/specifications/

Neither the int'l version or the U.S. version will have VoLTE or HD Voice though. Without VoLTE, the XP won't be able to take FULL advantage of the Band 12/700 MHz spectrum it has during INDOOR phone calls. This spectrum is much better at penetrating through buildings and walls than the other spectrums are, but to use it, the phone must have VoLTE that's been certified by whichever carrier you're using. Now that I just found this out, I'm considering buying the HTC 10 instead. We'll see.

I just noticed something interesting......... on the Global/Int'l Sony Mobile site, the Qnovo Charger is listed as UCH12, and is listed as having Quick Charge 3.0 capability:

                  http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/products/accessories/quick-charger-uch12/

But on the U.S. Sony Mobile site, the same charger is listed as UCH10, but it only has QC 2.0 capability:

                  http://www.sonymobile.com/us/products/accessories/quick-charger-uch10/

WTF?! lol So does this mean that the U.S. variant, which has already been stripped of both IP65/68 & an active fingerprint sensor, also was downgraded to ONLY QC 2.0 capability while the int'l XP has 3.0??!!

                  What are your thoughts people?

I thought the charger was QNovo. Is the battery used in the XP a QNovo too??

I am very appreciate Sony use the Qnovo battery to ensure the battery lifespan, this is very important for a sealed battery phone. So, I want to tell those competitors posting here, Their Phones Without Qnovo Battery absolutely pathetic a weakness.

                                    panda,

I don't think a case made out of glass would sell too well. lol TPU is soft and actually IMO looks nicer than those hard cases do, including the one you linked me. Plus my case is clear, even on the sides, which I prefer. I don't want the phone to covered up or hidden AT ALL. Also, the TPU cases are easier to get on & off than the hard ones are from my own experience.
