Tann Hauser, 18 May 2016It supports quickcharge 3, simple as that.
Tann,

It makes me wonder why they ever said it wouldn't if it could?

Update on U.S. XP: The U.S. XP is finally back on the list of phones on the U.S. site, and the Registration button is back as well. On the product page itself, the changes made (including the inclusion of the fingerprint sensor AND including a free QNovo Quick Charge 3.0 charger) still remain listed on the website. The full specs have also been restored, which now DO include the fingerprint sensor.

The inclusion of the free charger means that for the first time ever, Sony is giving the U.S. Xperia buyers something extra that NO other country is apparently receiving with their Xperia purchases. Hopefully these changes remain.

Eventhough most of the smartphone coming with 4gb of ram and x performance with 3gb of ram and it will be difficult for sony to compete with other rivals

Ok, so now here's "Please Explain This One" Part II lol........................

The Global/Int'l Sony Mobile page for the XP does not mention including the new QNovo(?) quick charger with the X phones ( http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/products/phones/xperia-x-performance/ ), but the U.S. version NOW DOES?!! http://www.sonymobile.com/us/products/phones/xperia-x-performance/

          From that U.S. page:

          Power up in no time
Charge the Xperia X Performance with the Quick Charger UCH12 (charger included in box) for 10 minutes and get 5.5 hours of usage.

Also, if you scroll down to the UCH12 quick charger under "Related Products", and click on it, and scroll down a little, it says the charger is a Quick Charge 3.0 charger. But didn't Sony say the X phones would only be 2.0-compatible???!!!!!!

So if I'm understand this correctly, not only has Sony seemingly reconsidered including the software for the fingerprint sensor, they're also for the first time ever NOT being cheapos and actually giving us U.S. citizens an "extra"??!! Maybe all those e-mails I, I mean WE lol, sent actually got through to them?!!!

          Talk to me people! lol

            Team,

Ok. Well what I'm gonna do is, in July or whenever it gets released, if the int'l version is easily available on Amazon, then I'll just buy that (it'll prob be cheaper anyway). But if not, and the U.S. version is + that U.S. page STILL shows fingerprint sensor, then I'm getting the U.S. one. Hopefully the int'l one will be easy to obtain.

You really think ALL the parties involved would get rid of fingerprint software via an update? Wouldn't that like start World War III? lol

            Thanks.

                  Team,

I'd read about that lawsuit too, but then why ADD that feature to the U.S. site when you previously DIDN'T have it listed? False advertising is ALSO a basis for a lawsuit. lol

RockStar2005, 17 May 2016Alright guys.......... please explain THIS one lol: On t... moreabout registration and rest I really don't know but when it comes to a fingerprint sensor here is my opinion....well I don't think that XP will come to US with fingerprint sensor either(only my guess). Because SONY is just fallowing the regulations and avoiding being sued.SONY company and including five others (among them also Samsung and Huawei) are currently under some kind of big investigation because of violating patents for fingerprint sensor ... there is few reliable sources for this and when I find them I will post link to them later(sorry I but don't have time at the moment to look for it) .

Alright guys.......... please explain THIS one lol:

On the U.S. Sony Mobile site, the Xperia XP no longer shows up on the "list of phones" page (though XA Ultra is now listed there)...... sonymobile.com/us/products/phones/

Yet the actual product page on the U.S. Sony Mobile site for the XP is STILL intact, but with 3 NOTEABLE changes........... http://www.sonymobile.com/us/products/phones/xperia-x-performance/ (note that "us" ((or U.S.)) is in both links)

                      1) The Registration button is GONE at the top
                      2) Even more interesting.........if you scroll down to the lime gold/rose gold/black side-by-side phone pics, the lime gold (left side) one NOW has a + sign there indicating the inclusion of a fingerprint sensor, which up until like today was NOT included b/c Sony even confirmed the U.S. version would only have the hardware not the software to run it.
                      3) The specs area and "full specifications" button are also missing from that page.

MY conclusion to all this is that Sony has reconsidered their IDIOTIC "business decision" to remove the fingerprint sensor software from the U.S. version of the XP, and is simply in the process of updating the page. But why remove the Registration button, unless they had to in order to update the page??

Thoughts??! I wanna hear them. lol Tann and Team Android, weigh in!

Xperia is sharpest and most detailed of the three. Heck, even beats S7 in lowlight ISO...

Just need to look at the signs in night city crop, on Xperia they are actually readable

What do you guys think of this? (Look up new article by Phone Arena about Sony Xperia XA Ultra) Why would Sony make a "phablet" version of the XA instead of the X Performance? Seems like a new but odd choice for them. At least I guess XA is better in that b/c it doesn't have a fingerprint sensor the bezels will be wider like the original XA itself.
