To all who are wondering about this phone here is my personal comprehensive opinion:
It's a great phone, great features for the price - marvelous screen, two great cameras, great build quality, great performance.
I have had issues too and had to visit service. These included a broken screen+unresponsive touch (my fault, the phone bent in my pocket during a concert), broken headphone jack (I see other people with this issue but in my case the jack actually wasn't broken it was stuffed with dust. The repair center just cleaned it and it worked) and there was apparently some sort of motherboard issue which caused it to freeze and boot loop randomly. Apparently the motherboard was faulty and had to be replaced. Luckily, the repair center changed the motherboard, screen and battery (I had no issues, but they still did so, no idea why, probably to extend the phone's life a bit more) and it was all covered by warranty, I didn't pay a single penny more and got a phone that is 90% brand new.
TL;DR Great phone, it may break but all phones do that. No serious issues whatsoever, great value for its price. Although today you are better getting it's grandson, the XA2 which is a similar package but much more modern and with even better value

I am an average/light user, but I do listen to podcasts a lot, with my in ear headphones.
The phone has been good overall, but I have had to change the 3.5mm jack on the phone 3 times now, and the last time it only worked a month, before breaking again. I have now given up.
Coming from an xperia SP, which lasted me 3 years, I was disappointed about the build quality of this one. It is just too cheaply made, and the plastic frame is too weak. I have had sony and soney ericsson phones for many years, but now I am looking elsewhere to find my next phone.

I read all these opinions with all bad things this phone supposedly have, but I have it for about 1.5 years and never had any on those problems (exept having back panel horrobly scratch while still having case). Also it is cheap, I got brand new for 180 euros (I have F3111)

I've had this phone for a year, and it suits me perfectly. The only problem I had with it was broken screen, but it was my mistake, it dropped out of my pocket on asphalt at the speed of 60 kmh and it still worked perfectly. I was surprised when the screen and the back cover were replaced under waranty. Im sticking with sony😉

AnonD-748573, 22 May 2018Do you advise me to buy this phone .. ??It's Soo Badd, this phone made me hate android , battery is the worst , the material is Soo easy to scratch, you will have many problems , ranging from battery problems to display, it's too easy to crack and the 1 speaker available on the phone is traashh, you can't here much..I recommend you either get a really good android with no bugs, preferably not a *Sony* device, maybe try iPhone... I know it's not as changeable as android and it's expensive but trust me it's worth it big time..iPhones ranging from the 7 and up and preferably better ..plz don't make the mistake I made

I bought mine a year ago, I had to go to the service center 3 times. First problem is some part of the touch screen doesn't respond. They fix the problem by replacing the screen, after 3 months I have battery problem. It wont't charge, so I went to the service center again. They replace the battery, then after 4 months I have problem with the screen, it's blurred and sometimes it has shadows. So went to the service center again and they replace the screen again. And now after a year since I bought my phone and the warranty expired, touch screen becomes unresponsive again. The time for every repair before my phone is fix is about 3 weeks. I'm really disappointed with Sony, will never buy there phone anymore.

I would avoid buying an Xperia. There are less expensive, better phones available.
I received the Xperia XA as a gift in December 2016, and I thought not bad as it was a mid-price phone with large screen and a 2-year warranty. The wifi wasn't strong as for other phones that I had, but I could live with it. Then, the GPS went out in just over a year. Upon reading the blogs, it was clear that other Xperia users encountered the same problem, and not just with the XA line. It was probably systemic.
I had to send in the phone in for repair, because all solutions to fix the GPS didn't work and the diagnostic always failed. It came back to me with the repair report noting repair of the device, and stating that there was normal wear and tear on the device, nothing excessive. Sony was good about accepting the phone for repair without proof of purchase, but I had registered the phone upon receipt to initiate the warranty. The phone had not been repaired repaired. Upon setting it up and running the diagnostic, the GPS failed.
So, I sent the phone back in for repair. This time I received notification that the repair was beyond economical cost of the phone and that I could have a replacement for around €185, what I think is more than half of what the phone originally costed. I wrote back to Sony Support stating that the first review gave no indication that there was excessive wear on the phone and that the problem was likely due to manufacturing/parts and so the phone should be replaced free of charge. At this request, Sony notified me that they had opened up the phone and found evidence of oxidation due to water contact. They stated that this represented misuse of the phone as it was not waterproof and, therefore, negated the warranty. They wouldn't replace the phone. I must add that this "misuse" represented nothing more than storage for around 3 h in a pocket of a sweaty jacket as I was biking and some brief instances of use while walking in the rain to dampen the screen. I have had other phones that have experienced must worse, such as shocks from drops, etc., and they have kept working.
Needless to say, I have developed serious reservations about both the quality of Sony phones and the service that Sony provides.

AnonD-748573, 22 May 2018What is the battery and camera mode ... ??
battery, don't talk about it, it's bad
browsing the internet and playing asphalt with 3g in the morning will make you charge the phone at lunch with the SOT like ~2hours
camera, it's meh, I'm a student and I could take a picture of the board, zoom in, see the sentence clearly at 3 meters away
suggestion: buy something else.
the phone is not waterproof, so plenty of choices for you there. You can aim for the xa2
Or maybe, choose some Chinese brand like xiaomi(note 5 pro???), cheaper and better performance, battery, cam, etc.
