Xiaomi is good in their own merit, but their phones are only targeted to those in China, to those in third world countries, or to those who are comfortable with buying online (which is not a lot). From what I see, Xiaomi isn't going to sell their phones to the western market anytime soon.

In Canada and the US, most consumers buy in-store like BestBuy, which means they are only restricted to mainstream phone brands such as Apple, Samsung, LG, Google, Sony and HTC. Amongst all the mainstream brands, I believe Sony phones stand out the most. Their hardware design is very unique imo and does not follow the smartphone trends, which is good.

    This phone is not much good, i love selfies and i do have Xa2 ultra and Zenfone 4 selfie pro, Zf4 selfie pro has more better front camera. Plus it has 12mp sony imx362 which the first front camera to have dual pixel and bigger f1.8 aperture. And zf4 selfie pro has better price too. But xa2 ultra is good, just not bad.

      Third: aptX HD vs A2DP/LE
      I guess 3.5K mAh in Sony's smartphone= 6K mAh in xi mi's phones

            Xiaomi redmi note 5 pro destroyed this Xperia already. Xiaomi had better processor and it costs 200$ less. These 200$ is the cost of Sony logo.

The app you mentioned can only take bokah effect only for objects(macro shots with background blurring)with subject 1 feet from camera and background 3 feet.

                                      2- 18:9 screen ratio... No it is 16:9 but why the hell do you even care.
                                      3- slow motion is available at 1080p 120fps.
