Just checked this phone and its small sibling XA2 at MWC, great phones that does it job for its worth, dont even believe on reviews or haters that post here.
Better actually experience it on-hand rather than believe on haters speculations.

You just need to download one app from the store. It is called background defocus. It is made for Xperia smartphones. After you install it, you will find it in your camera apps menu. The app is very useful and does what it's meant to do!

Cool phone! The curved glass at the edge looks quality. Good that they prioritised selfie cameras and made an extra effort with battery life too. Great sign of things to come for Sony in 2018.

I was very sensitive to decoding of 24-bit 192KHz! I know XA2u has no an option to decoding high resolution or gyro.. I do want XA2u to these reasons: huge battery capacity (about 3500mAh in Sony's mobile = 6.5k ~ 7k mAh ) Jack headphones/earphones, 6" IPS LCD (I don't trust to Amoled yet!) IMO, XA2u has great look and finally aptX HD is really great option for me
I hope to seeing android P in XA2u in future

Did everyone forget that Apple has kept the same design for iphone 6, 7 and 8 families, and yet nobody said a darn thing.
And did I mention that the iPhone 6, 7 and 8 families have way bigger bezels than Sony phones.
And there we are, everyone hating on Sony for a boring design and big bezels...
just putting this out there...

Ugly. When is Sony going to change designers? While every fones are sexy including the cheap ones, Sony fones are still stubbornly square in design. Feature-wise is still lagging compared to other brands. And the bezel, still as wide as the pacific ocean. Even cheap chinese fones are coming up with small bezels. And YET sony fones are very expensive. No wonder sony is losing money in their fone division

that is why this phone no a mid-range because all of these exist already in Xperia X (2 years ago)
I think this phone is less than mid range and more than low range !!

I'm just wondering why SONY didn't make mid-range with water-resistant IP 68 like xperia M5...? Really like that phone... Just cons in fingerprint and small 16GB internal storage...
