Wow, this phone comes with Oreo. Only Huawei is giving us Oreo phones. Is good you have given us Oreo and radio and Bluetooth 5.0. Is good but this phone is so bulky. Very thick phone, thick and tall.

Which Sony never do.
Tottaly same and 100% genuine phone like XZ1 premium with a sticker from Xiaomi Meizu Oukitel etc would cost up to 500 eur no more.
You pay for a Sony sticker not a phone but someone likes you never understand. And rather pay 200-500 more bucks for same thing.
I i wont bother its your choice how you waste your money.

Choice is definitely theirs.
But i would like to care and say why to waste money on a ugly thick slow turtle if for much less they can buy a much better device.

At this point every phone manufacturer is trying their bet to compete with specs, speed, gimmicky features and more. To me, that's fine, I look a little more deeper. I don't buy Sony for its looks, specs and how fast it can open Google Chrome, I buy it because I've liked, enjoyed and have a strong emotional bond that i can't find with other phone manufacturers. For instance I took my Z5 to the pool, all my friends were determined it will fail as in, stop functioning and so on. It didn't! So these are things, that make the difference.
At the end of the day all phones are good, it comes down to your personal taste. The reason i keep on ranting BS everywhere is because some people talk without adding 2% of their common sense.

For a 249 eur it offers awesome Helio P20 8 core.
Great GPU, 6gb ram 64gb diskspace and a 11 000 mAh battery.
Compared to this ugly slow brick this is brand new Buggatti Chiron.

owning xa1 ultra, you get used to the size. pocketwise it fits in jeans and bid pockets but not in slimfits or body hug apparel. battery wise is above average even if its only 2700 mah. camera is great in daylight. nighttime shots are above average, they are good, but cant keep up with the best. use fv-5 or open camera to get best pictures.

This is an interesting phone, apart from the unacceptably large dimensions and weight. Nearly 1 cm (10 mm) thickness and over 220 g heavy? Really?
Anyway, I would like to ask existing XA Ultra or XA1 Ultra users your opinion on using those phones for VoIP calls, to assess whether XA2 Ultra can be an option for me.
In my experience with mid-range Sony phones thus far, using Hangouts or SIP clients like Zoiper over Wi-Fi, quality is always very low, meaning that calls start chopping audio almost immediately, forcing me to hang up.
This has happened with a number of handsets (e.g., XPERIA M4, XA Ultra) that I have used in the past, in any Wi-Fi network I have connected to. At the same time, other phones (e.g., Samsung Galaxy) work fine.
Would that be a common Sony characteristic, or should it be attributed to the low end spec of the XA/XA1 Ultra, for instance?
