Sony users are very happy with ANDROID nougat 7.0 and 7.1.1(the latest)
Sony users are also pleased with X series not because onpaper specs but because SONY highest quality performance audio and SONY stunning techs and innovative own apps
If you want to enjoy SONY performances,you firstly BUY SONY PHONES...Don't make fake story...
But in some degree SONY Users had a funny time to read your "lol posts"....

I got the Nougat update and so happy to say that it makes the phone more fast and battery lasts much more time than the android 6. Even phone gets less heat than before. Works butter smooth now. Thank you Sony being the first to give the Andorid 7 update.

Wish I could say I just had a duff unit, but I actually had two exchanges, so that's 3 units that all exhibited the same behaviour. The store in which I purchased the device actually disregarded their own policy regarding returns and refunded me my money as they could not offer a viable reason for the issues.
Based on that experience the X Compact and by extension the standard X (as it uses the same basic hardware) are not devices I personally would recommend. This XZ however, well it seems fine so far.

As an old sony user when this phone released I didn't like the design of this phone! but when I check the silver one in my hands yesterday I found it a high quality phone with great resolution & nice size...but the negative things that sony removed the radio app. & its high price value!
Over all its a great device i liked it

I know some on here will be surprised to hear this but I am now using an XZ. Decided to not quite give up on Sony after recent and past disappointments with them, especially the bad experience I had with the X Compact a few weeks back.
Got to say, so far so good. The Nougat update was ready and waiting when I powered on and operationally speaking this phone is indeed impressive.
Still got some issues with the camera, though mostly relating to shot to shot speed, I have a young family and the absence of any kind of burst mode is annoying when trying to get an image of the kids.
But overall, I like XZ. Battery life appears great, screen is easily up there with the best on the market, sound quality is fantastic compared to some of the recent devices I have used and it's running nougat like a pro.
Am only a day in, so to early to say if this is indeed a better device than the best of what I have used over this year (Galaxy S7, LG G5, iPhone 7), but it's easily the best phone Sony have ever made and has provided me with quite a welcome surprise.

For those who tried xz, what about the extreme temperature rising which is usual in Xperia z family?
I have Xperia z3 and I want to upgrade to xz just in case Sony has solved the heating issue

It's totally diferent from Chinese smartphone that sometimes lose the sensitivity

When phones were small and thick, the fall damage was minimal because of the way Sony designed their phones. Now, when phones are huge and thin, when fall damage may drain Your wallet - they keep those stickers on screen. I'm careful user, but sometimes my phones suffered a minor fall damages because the life in city is crazy. And the maximum damage is little deformation in the outer corner of phone body. Sony is making phones that will serve You a long time, for sure. My first k300i served me 5 years of crazy life! Now U, Z and E4 are my companions, and I like these phones! p.s.: But anyway I strongly recommend NOT TO upgrade Z to Android 5. That's my short comment, ha.

Someone posted that nougat update downscaled operational battery consumption by 2/3.
Batterylife should indeed be improved greatly...
Owners? Some info?
