Updated my XZ to 7.0 Nougat 1 week ago. It's working perfect. Nice new features added specially split screen option is very useful. Battery timing also boosted. Loving my XZ like never before.

      None of xz nougat users, that know how to update, seem to have problems you do.
      Never update OTA, but through Sony companion, and do hard reset before and after (save your data to sd card first tho)
      Its same for complete android updates for every vendor.
      Secondly, do a hard reset, and most importantly system cache reset( power + volume up simultaneously should do the trick).

      P.s. When going OTA complete system update (not same as ocassional small update) without previous hard reset, system drivers mess up and multiply, system goes berserk.

          And you also check it out apps updates and delete obsolete apps and hardly used apps
          You should try clueful apps from bidefender and check virus and maltwear
          No problem in above cases you can easily go to SONY service and discuss them
          Of course Nougat update to XZ is make XZ like a 2017 latest phone to date
          Enjoy fully with 7.0 and coming very soon 7.1.1 the newest latest

                Hi everyone I purchased this smartphone about 2 month before, in beginning it was working flawlessly n I was satisfied from its routine performance. But since OTA nougat update it's routine performance effected badly because it start heating n hanging during Skype calls,browsing Facebook n playing mid processing games.
                Even during Skype calls it take lot of time to open whatsapp or Facebook n during that process it becomes really hot like pressure cooker. I used Galaxy Note 4 for 2 years n trust me I didn't face anything annoyed like this n don't forget Note 4 has low processing power as compared to this crap. I am really upset from this situation I also make hard reset but that didn't solve my problem I have installed about 170 different apps including games.
                Any solution please!

                      FM radio is a lot more relevant than you think. It uses less battery, doesn't eat into any data plan, and works no matter where you travel. Virtually all of the RF chips used in today's mobiles already support it anyway. The reason most devices don't have it any longer is that carrier lockdown practices pressure the manufacturers to disable it. The carriers want to sell data plans.

Btw, actually the FM I never use it since 2 and half years from my Z2 experience, I use the TrackID and internet radio, but most of the time I listen Music player, I have my top favorite songs and don't waste time for listen radio.

I personal test the demo set at the Sony Center, the XZ is not heat just warm with everything connection switch on.

                            Cumon man,nobody is bothered of fm radio nowadays, luk,at s7, edge, iphone,htc,, no radio coz its outdated,i till date never used radio, its not a big deal,,,

                              AnonD-481725, 12 Dec 2016Absolutely software bug's, full plastic body should make th... moreQuite wiling to put it down to software issue's yeah, and I did find it a bit strange that when I asked if anyone else had complained of the same issue the answer was no.

                              I've been taking a few snaps with the XZ over the last day or so and honestly I can't bring myself to say I'm impressed with the camera.

                              It's focus speed is nearly, if not just as fast as the S7, and that is cool, but there is a lag and delay to actually the shot that is just not present on the S7 or the iPhone 7 and that (along with any kind of burst mode) spoils things a bit for me.

                              Neither can I see any clear improvement in detail over those two devices (or the G5 for that matter) coming from this higher resolution sensor.

                              Sorry but when it comes to the camera I still have to agree with the majority of the tech journalism world, this is undoubtedly Sony best Smartphone camera and it is a good one to be sure.......but it's not 'the' best.

                                Please XZ or Xc? I like XZ's bigger screen, but Xc has FM radio. Can FM be enabled in XZ by firmware update?

                                  This is sony's problem, they never release their smartphones with a fully optimized software, or at least decent, they release their smartphones then they optimize it by time, if i were you, i will do the same and wouldn't put my hope on a software update, plus, reviewers around the world will never wait for a smartphone to be fully optimized before they review it, consider the GSMarena camera comparison yesterday, it was very noticeable that the xz were taking pictures with a very high iso "bug", but in fact, a few people know that, and badness is the reputation that it got, i believe that this triple sensor technology beast is the best smartphone camera in the market, but sadly, that is the reputation that it got.

                                    First, which Sony users are happy with the 7.1.1 update????? Oh that'll be the none who have it, as at present Sony have only announced their intention to release said update, not actually released it....you get the difference there right?????

                                    My suggestions to you are as follows:

                                    1. Get a clue
                                    2. Get help for the paranoia

But finally when I saw it's 360 degree design here and got the phone on my hand my attitude was totally changed and impressed with the design and built quality, Bezels actually won't feel much problem as seen on the photos and forget about it when eyes are stuck with it's beauty. It's metal back and forest blue color, platinum beyond all flagship phones available in the market.
