XZ doesn't heat up like the Z5P. Z5 series has the SD810 processor, which has a known heating issues.
Z5P has a 4K display, XZ has a 1080p display.
XZ is a faster because it has the superior SD820 processor.
XZ has a 13MP front camera with a wider angle lens. Z5P has a normal 5MP front camera.

[deleted post]if u are comparing display tech by various type then u should search some gaming monitor that still using TN PANEL with major improvement time to time ... why.dont they used AMOLED because TN or LCD panel it has the lowest grey to grey time response and it suitabl for gaming needs more.likely now or in the future consumer still gaming on LCD panels because of the responsive colour reproduction so shutup dude if u say old school technology cant beat new school technology i bet u shud search 7 wonders architectural in.the world ... they are old but yet they still can long last until now from milenium until now they building construction still sturdy n not that scratch for a long time period same goes to the smartphone industries all kind of this OiS or 4 axis rgb what so ever come from old technology they just put in.smartphone n rebranded but they improve from the generation to.another generation so stop whinning about ur AMOLED come give me 1 gaming monitor model that for gaming name it most of it is TN PANEL OR LCD PANEL i repeat TN PANEL or LCD PANEL ... for colour reproduction i admit AMOLED is the best but for gaming its no and that the reaaon why sony or any oem still invest in this techonology because they have their own reason .. understand ？

... moreGo for Xperia XZ if you have used Sony Ericsson in the past esp the Java phones. Then u will easily embrace the feel. No phone is perfect by its specs. It can always fail. As for Xperia XZ with the simplistic UI Sony wants it to be a fast performer and ultimately with its revolutionary battery saving techniques and the sleek design i think its the best buy in the market at the moment..
Performance is what matters not specs..

You ever read what these reviewers say about AMOLED? They just like the oversaturation and deep blacks of AMOLED. It's not their job to give a detailed analysis of AMOLED display and their longevity.
And you say Sony is the only one who doesn't use AMOLED in their flagship? What about the LG G5, HTC 10, V20, iPhones etc.? Most flagships still use LCD. And you say LCD is obsolete? 90% low to mid end phones are still using LCD.
And if you aren't blind, you would've noticed that AMOLED displays after using for 2years+ will start degrading. Screen will become yellowish.
And where in my comment did I show hate for AMOLED? So stating facts now is portraying hate? Wow, you're not so bright are you?

DISPLAY FHD, it has the most realistic colors, pixel density 421 which is excellent for accuracy and power effecaincy.
BATTERY LIFE is very good but maybe not the best.
BATTERY HEALTH the best between all smartphones and not explosive.
CAMERA it is the best no doubt, colors accuracy excellent, stabilization excellent, auto focus supper fast, but you need to use manual mode because auto mode doesn't show the real experience of the camera in most times.
PERFORMANCE, it is almost tied with iPhone 7
QUALITY, i am one of millions people who bought an Xperia smartphone from 2-3 years and still using it until now without any single issue.

I love it and plan on sticking with it until the end. The Z5s battery is amazing. The camera is stellar provided you know to use it. After the marshmallow update its even better. My friend used my phone for 2 hours and went to buy the Z5 the next day. You can't love something till you try it. Good luck buddy!
