MirzaSohail, 22 Oct 2016Confused Between These Devices:- 1.S7 Edge 2. Experia XZ ... moreTrust me on this Bro, the Xperia offers a very rigid android experience. I had an s5 and changed to the Z5. I love it and plan on sticking with it until the end. The Z5s battery is amazing. The camera is stellar provided you know to use it. After the marshmallow update its even better. My friend used my phone for 2 hours and went to buy the Z5 the next day. You can't love something till you try it. Good luck buddy!

AnonD-589318, 22 Oct 2016You said that "ALL" amoled screens have those problems...th... moreLie? Idk why it is so wrong for you to understand.
I guess you know nothing about AMOLED. All AMOLED displays are prone to screen burn in and degradation. Why? Because it's the limitations and drawbacks of the screen tech
AMOLED stands for active matrix organic light emitting diode. As it's name suggests, it's made up of organic elements, which degrade over the passage of time.
Also, the blue subpixels of AMOLED displays tend to die fast, as a result, the screen becomes more yellowish over time.
All AMOLEDs have longevity issues. LCDs don't face such issues. Since AMOLED is a relatively new screen tech, it needs some time to be developed and fix its issues.
Remember when LCDs were released first, they had lots of issues such as poor color reproduction, poor viewing angles, etc. After years of R&D LCDs have improved a lot.
Next time check your facts.

LCD's dont have such huge drawbacks that affect the end user. And no, LCD hasn't reached its maximum potential. 4K HDR TVs with Quantum dot LED displays are becoming more popular.

[deleted post]..... SONY learn the lessons in the past NOW SONY phone s and other productsw are very careful in battery techs and other major techs.
But SONY stopped the laptop section for reputation
Keep in mind..Samsung note7 is finished and dead series in smartphone market...
With big fiasco.. Samsung should stop producing smartphone as the Samsung team always make horrible phone's

I really don't know why Samsung's ghostwriters must praise their Amoled at here. Either IPS or Amoled is personal preferences, IMO I like IPS it is more natural colour than Amoled, the Amoled is over contrast to me and it could not show details in black and more consume battery while display in white screen, not to mention the colour burn-in problem for a long period usage, the game's UI just burn-in if continue using it for a long time.

Is this a bashing Sony forum? I thought I came to read opinions on Xperia XZ, no? Why don't you guys Sony haters go back to your brand fanpage? If you guys don't like Sony, don't buy. Isn't that simple?
You want a curved mobile screen? Go and buy. You want it foldable? Please buy. I sold my Asus after one day because of the sound quality. And I hate the curved back panel. I like it flat so I can type easily and not swinging around my table. I needed one hand to type and another to hold. How efficient was that?
I'm definitely a Sony fan but I'm also a realist. I do know about that Vaio recall, so? I wanted to try Samsung but I don't like the oversaturated screen, it hurt my eyes. Sony displays are more realistic. I bought few other brands and I keep complaining about one thing or another that I finally give up and went back to Sony.
I like Sony for its minimalist design. So some idiot said his hand bled after holding Sony angular shape. If Sony change from angular to roundish like any other brands, I'll go for HTC, the other brand that is highly rated for its sound and camera quality. You haters can talk about things people don't need in another forum. Leave this page for people to discuss about their phones.

Sony is only a tiny, insificient player in the Smartphone business. Going backwards more every year. Chinese brands are outselling/out performing Sony now. Times ahve changed.

AnonD-600555, 21 Oct 2016LCD displays can also suffer from colour banding, backlight... moreThat is nitpicking. Those so called drawbacks of LCD you mentioned are trivial, and doesnt affect most consumers. Backlight bleeding is mostly found on cheaper LCD displays. My old Moto G had that issue, although it was not a big deal. None of my other phones have that.
But screen burn-in, degradation, Low life span, etc. are issues found in every AMOLED phone. Google about screen burn in issues in phone like S6, nexus 6, etc.
And dead pixels are an issue in both AMOLED and LCD.
