But IMO Android is much better OS, if done right.
And Sony does it right.
It is more featured, more opened, more stable, even if requiering more resources.

Sorry for your samsung experience. It is after all worst of android experience. Dont know why people consume it so much and base their opinion on samsungs aprroach to android alone.

the red light to me is like a light on the computer or tv or watever, shows that its running, or its on.



First charge is when you jus receive your phone, unboxing. plug it in to charge and dont even turn it on. whether thats preferred or not. it might ruin the battery if you turn it on. again the box manuals says so. Well i do see a few unboxing phone youtubes and they just turn it on right away, is that misleading and they get lucky their phone battery didnt messup

Only two reasons for great performance in apple products :
A. Swift programming language
B. Exclusive hardware
I had iPhone 4 & I have iPhone 6Sp (more than 1year) those r last apple phones in my lifetime! Surely!! I'm so happy with one cheap android phone (price: less than $130) more than 18 months/ 1) 4.7" IPS LCD 312ppi/ 2) Chipset: mediatek mt 6582/ 3) CPU: quad core 1.3GHz Cortex A7/ 4) GPU : Mali450-mp4/ 5) only 1GB ram/ 6) 4GB ROM / 7) SD card up to 32GB/ 8) single stereo speaker/ 9) battery capacity: only 1800mAh/ 10) android KitKat 4.4.2 ... After 18 months not issue or lag or any problem in my android phone!! Playing movies even HEVC X265 is smooth, quality audio in single stereo speaker & in headphones r very good playing heavy games such as asphalt 8 airborne/dead space/Fahrenheit/Hit/FIFA 14,15/PES 2017/brothers: tale of two son/Assassin Creed/Implosion never lose hope! yes with only 1GB ram,Mali 450 & poor Cortex A7 without any problem or lag!
My cheap android phone vs my iPhone 6Sp if you believed it or no! My android phone : Won!!
My android phone: $130 vs my iPhone 6Sp $520~$750 (nowadays) what I want from android devices!? Except watching movies, listening music & playing games!? not actually even one special thing in apple products
When I'm with iPhone: I lost freedom & when I'm with cheap android phone: felling freedom like a day's light in first day from spring, Freedom's good thing.

Knowing their basis was Android and knowing how vehemently new gsmarena users consider competition to their chinese knockoffs based on 'spec sheets', Apple and iOS are poorly represented in our skewed demographic of tech wannabies...

So- I played devils advocate and gave an 'alternative' opinion to the consensus of youth herein;

iOS is a derivative of OS X; possibly the best consumer OS in large scale on the planet.
iOS is gradually being given increased feature set, and with the cutoff for iOS10 removing devices with less than 1Gb of ram and 1/5 the power of an iPad3; it will come along in leaps and bounds now it can use some actual resources!

Personally I only consider it as usable since iOS9 (it finally got things I consider standard for a 'smart phone' or tablet operating system to have...).

Why is it fantastic?
More to do with Apple having a tonne of the worlds best hardware engineers building chips (with custom functions) to sip power why delivering incredible performance. The A series processors can hold their own against modern cpus- this is amazing.
Apple now make more cpus than intel.

The combination of a tight and secure operating system that is generally perfectly stable, ever evolving.. and able to be used by the masses (little johnny might be the 'smartphone user of the family', but grandma Joan can actually use an iPad...)

Security updates rolled out everywhere. Updates to all devices - everywhere.

Yesterday I went without a samsung phone because my telco rebranding their roms takes months to get the roms or updates.
My Note Edge was on jan security updates up until august, when they finally gave me lollipop (note edge users elsewhere had had for more than half a year).
I am an advanced user, but sammobile didn't have roms I wanted to use (radio files being my concern), as they were for the indian market.

With iOS all the devices get updates easily and reliably.

Proof of the optimisation of running a tight OS on hardware designed for it; ridiculous speed and exceptional battery life.


Apple haters gotta hate; I don't care to argue with them. I have been researching technology (and using most variants of it since the seventies) heavily for more than twenty years (I ran bulletin board services before the internet; even having five inbound phone lines (dialupmodems) in my house for customers/support over twenty years ago.

Being I have lived through more embedded OS's than I care to mention, and enjoyed symbian before flash and 'heavy net technologies' bogged them down...

iOS is great; just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it isn't so.

xyz, 15 Oct 2016One more thing, the Xperia XZ use the Cheap Plastic frame, ... moreMost of the XZ's body is Alkaleido, do you know what is it? The polycarbonate frame is one of the part for join the Alkaleido all together, then you should know how harder is Alkaleido.

About the XZ design is gorgeous I am sure, I am honestly to say from heart ! I repeat it is very gorgeous!

By the way, in your opinion which phone is the most beautiful one?

one word, underdog.

I used iphones for more than 6 years and never believed in android due to my experience with samsung s3 which was horrible! but now with the Sony Xperia XZ, well, I just love it, the design, hardware and software, the simplicity of android integration. the camera, and speakers, beautifully done. Bravo Sony.

If you're looking for a super computer in your pocket, look somewhere else!

I had purchased my first water-resistant smartphone 2years ago, from my experience, I want to say the flagship must have support water-resistant and dust-resistant, I love clean smartphone, I hate dirty smartphone, the bacteria we can't see it, but we can wash it away.
