Probably not, but there is many screen recording applications in the playstore, pick the one you like, Sony is trying to make their UI lite as much as they can, lag free and flawless for multiple years unlike Samsung with their buggy touchwise.

Kyle, 13 May 2017s7 edge or XZ? i can't choose both phone has advantage for ... moreI chose the XZ over S7 edge and no regrets at all, great camera, good battery life, 64 GB of internal storage, not fragile unlike the S7 edge so no worries even if it slips out of your hand or pocket. S7 edge may be a good phone, I can't comment on that as I don't like bashing other brands they all must be great so you get options according to your preference but for me the XZ is really a great phone and it meets all the expectations you require in a smartphone, rest is up to your choice :-)

Btwn if you can find Xperia xzs for reasonable price because it has much better lowlight photography, it has high mega pixels and large pixel size in the same time.

AnonD-665390, 11 May 2017Is there a screen record option in xz? No. You will need to find and install a 3rd-party app for that in the Play Store. My S7 has built-in screen recording. It's just one of the many features the S7 has built-in that XZ doesn't have and that you will have to install 3rd-party apps to do the same function on the XZ. This is why at 500-600 dollars I strongly recommend buying the S7 instead of the XZ.

The S7 display is best display according to Displaymate. The XZ display is oversaturated for an LCD screen. It's not natural at all. The S7 camera is among the 3 best smartphone cameras of 2016. The XZ isn't even top 10. The S7 also has a more beautiful and elegant design. The XZ is like a brick.

Kyle, 13 May 2017s7 edge or XZ? i can't choose both phone has advantage for ... moreI think the battery of the s7edge is slightly better but everything else is better in the xz, the screen of the xz is very natural and very pleased to the eyes, while the display of the s7edge is kindly over saturated uncomfortable to the eyes sometimes, especially if you use your smartphone for a long time, the camera, the main sony domain where Sony outperforms the competitors, you won't find a smartphone camera takes a super natural pictures like sony, the colors and the exposure balance is way better in the xz, cons artifacts are visible when zooming the picture, the s7edge has the upper hand when is comes to low light photography since the SONY camera sensor of the Galaxy s7edge has a larger pixel size. The image stabilization, no need to talk, xz far ahead.
The sony Xperia xz has a front facing stereo speakers while the s7 has one mono speaker in the bottom, probably the s7 is louder.
The design is a taste but in general i don't recommend the edge display design, it is very beautiful but uncomfortable to use especially in one hand.

Finally dipped into the unknown and got myself an Xperia XZ. It has been a full 24 hours and I already noticed issues & bugs:
1. When on Airplane Mode turning it off turns on the bluetooth for some reason.
2. I'm on a "dark" theme but there was a time the screen turn a bit lighter as if a haze came and stayed. it disappeared when i reboot the phone.
3. I was afraid the NFC sticker tag might come off as it was always in my pocket.
4. Screen on time so far was under 5 hours. That's on my average daily use from 100% at 6am and 0% by 9pm.
5. Still stuck with Android 7.0 with April security patch; no sign of 7.1.1 yet.

Look at my profile... moreYou are trying to prove everything reversed and to give all advantages to the s7 and the disadvantages to the xz because you own the s7, don't bother yourself, the Sony Xperia xz outperforms the s7 in cases, probably the battery is slightly better but everything else i give it to the xz.

Gino76, 03 May 2017I have the Z5 and it heats when downloading/updating multip... morewell i didnt know for that, well my frend have z5p and he didnt have problems with overheating, i guess software if quite different or something like that, and maybe cooling i a bit better on z5p becouse it bigger phone, maybe heat sink are bigger, and depends on user as well
i dont know for speakers
