Anonymous, 18 Feb 2017Yes chrome is quite slow.Disable the javascript in the setting of the Chrome, you will find it faster.
I don't like the Opera brower, because the icon while loading page is quite annoying. Current I am using the Japan's browser, it is my favorite although it has advertisement implanted, but it isn't trouble to me.

I normally don't count the battery life everyday but it's really good as at night it doesn't drop even a single percent till I wake up in the morning which is quite surprising. So if you're planning to buy it go ahead it's a wonderful phone I also preferred it over the compact as I like big screen. By the way I just ordered the XZ (platinumas) as one of my friends have it and I was really really impressed by it's performance and looks but X is always going to be there with me :-)

How much battery percentage does it spend while 1hr browsing, and how much while watching video for 1hr at some 50% brightness, and how much SoT overall?
I really need this X with nougat battery info, as I cant decide whether to go for X because of bigger screen, or X Compact for better batterylife.
I can live with some less batterylife for the sake of bigger screen, but not if its significantly less.
So Your input would be much appreciated and helpfull.

You need to use the phone first before jumping to conclusions. Right now I own the Xperia X and have ordered the XZ which I'll be getting in couple of days, those videos they show on YouTube don't mean anything to me at least as they're biased. Xperia X can take tons of pics without any problems I use it mainly for camera as I love taking pics. As far as battery is concerned it's much better than my previous S6 edge, in a nutshell Xperia phones are way too underrated.

I listen to them and not to you as you don't own this phone. Ever since the Z3+, Sony has thermal overheating problems. Sony has tried to fix this known and well documented problem, but has failed.
Either a user accepts this kown problem or buy another brand.

So, unlike you, I can honestly say that the Z5 has serious heating problems. There are 2 reasons for this. First are the Snapdragon 810 cpu and second is the continuing heating design flaw in all Xperia models. Sony could and should be able to fix this problem but to date this thermal overheating problem continies.

Everytime you use a camera apps like messenger, facebook, instagram et all, that have camera permit run in background causing heatup and batterydrain.
Turning off background data and sync should help.
Turning off location recognition in camera app also.
