Plus this has been a problem with Xperias for over 3 years. So, yes, its a built in problem that Sony either doesn't care about or is unable to repair.

Hi Some days ago i purchase Sony XZ.....Everything is good but when i capture some picture about 20 or 25 at a time, some text view my display temperature became high please shut down you apps and automatic close my camera......at the same things also Video it was duration about 8 or 9 minute.Anybody tell me is it problem or built in problem ?????

But Automode is for ease of use and online standardized parameter testing only, and is not relevant of true camera capabilities that are indeed known only to mobile manual camera users.
And please no more S7 comparing, theres quite plentyof that here doing rounds over and over.
If one wishes to compare, there are quite a lot more relevant devices out there to compare to XZ.

And i am thinking of buying an Xperia XZ just to try it i never used a Sony smartphone before. About camera, most users does not know anything about manual settings so i think auto mode is more important to most people.

AnonD-292864, 17 Feb 2017Samsung has a lot more useful software features than Sony. ... moreDefinitely wrong, Samsung has more gimmick features more than sony which causes software issues later, most Samsung smartphones doesn't function normally after some months, while my z3 is functioning normally even after 3 years, regarding to the camera software, only the auto mode is quite disappointing and it doesn't show the perfection of sony's camera, while in manual mode the sony camera is unbeatable.

I don't like Sony's software and they always fail at camera software no matter the quality of the camera lens. XZ is still behind the S7 in terms of picture quality.
