AnonD-706286, 07 Oct 2017OIS or EIS , Which one is better ?EIS is much better than OIS since most of the companies who used OIS first had a very weak video image stabilization so they later directly jumped into EIS additional to the OIS so they made things much better, the OIS has good role for taking pictures especially in low if you don't have steady hands, however the EIS has no role in this regard.

If only Sony could adapt the technology "acoustic surface" from ae1 TV to an Xperia phone and jump on the bezel-less display bandwagon, that is definitely a worth buy.

Have been using the XZ1 for 3 days now and absolutely love it. The look and feel of the phone screams "premium". The features that stand out to me are the sharp on-screen colors, smooth UI, great battery life, and excellent sound quality with and without headphones (not sure why GSM review indicated average sound quality with below average volume, my experience has been quite positve).
I had previously used the Z1 Compact, Z2 and Z3 Compact, then moved away from Sony as they seemed to had lost their focus, which to me was premium build quality, above average battery life, and flawless operation. Over the last couple years I have used the Xiaomi Mi5 and most recently the Google Pixel. My expereince with these devices was positive, but I missed the Sony UI. After reading reviews and looking at the specs of the XZ1 and XZ1 compact, it was clear that Sony found their niche again.
Using this device, I feel like i'm back at home! Well done SONY!

To be honest I only got my phone today and I think its a corker all round phone...screen, speed, yes the camera is only 19 mega pixels compared to the z5 23..can't see any difference whatsoever...i will enjoy the 2 yrs with this phone..

got my xz1 and compare to my xzp, the game i play and wow the color on xz1 is much deeper. its like the super vivid to the next level. both r set to svivid, but yeah a difference. im happy with jus tat, well more uses n see
