Personally I think the XZ1 looks more refined than the XZ: no more ugly plastic at the rear panel, no more plastics at the side, slightly more curved sides. Also, the NFC scanner is finally placed at a reasonable place. They should have made the bezels smaller..

Sony flagships since the Z5 have FP scanner embedded in the power button, although for some reason the US variants have it disabled (hardware is still there). The XZ1 is no different.

Samsung and apple are doing greats with 12 mp.

Sony Phones is one of the best android devices. But why does it still have battery issues. Its got a fantastic software, a little outdated but good one which they have to bring out something new & except they are the best at 4K display, music & camera. They are very different from the ones that do bezel-less screens, higher storage capacities. They have to sort out the battery issues.

Why not just focus on one flagship update per year? They're hust wasting resources in releasing phones that are barely different from one another.

Why everyone comment like they already have this phone?,just wait for review or somebody that really bought it, that much better,people bashing about small battery capacity,so how about battery on iphone? If you a hater just say so

Sony did a smart move to put a FHD screen,it will loser the battery consumption and will increase on chipset efficiency.What was with that absurd and pointless 3840x2160 screen on XZ premium ?

Sorry Sony, 2700mAh battery for a phone with a 5.2 inch display is crap. I don't care how much battery efficiency you think you can milk from Stamina Mode, SD835 and Android Oreo.
Previous Xperia phones e.g. the XZs have a bigger battery. Even Xiaomi Mi6 with similar specs has a 3230mAh battery.
