Sony did a smart move to put a FHD screen,it will loser the battery consumption and will increase on chipset efficiency.What was with that absurd and pointless 3840x2160 screen on XZ premium ?

Sorry Sony, 2700mAh battery for a phone with a 5.2 inch display is crap. I don't care how much battery efficiency you think you can milk from Stamina Mode, SD835 and Android Oreo.
Previous Xperia phones e.g. the XZs have a bigger battery. Even Xiaomi Mi6 with similar specs has a 3230mAh battery.

Sorry to say but the XZ looks much better than this compared to the screen to body ratio and obviously the price. Sony is in a hurry to launch new devices ignoring their previous so called flagships like they ignored the X and released the X Performance with some upgrade followed by the XZs which ditched the XZ (a flagship then) now the XZ1 for XZP with the new Oreo update but with shrinked battery life. I've the X and still waiting for a replacement but unable to figure out which phone to buy as they release new flagships in a jiffy with some minor updates. If I buy the XZP it would not be the latest offering from Sony but the XZ1 would be, pheww!!

Android Oreo is coming with full system theme support for Sony UI, while this comes with 2700 mAh, what a joke Sony is right now.

Yes I know XZ is 3 GB RAM and 820 SD etc... and really bad device it's keep lag and struggle all the time especially when I use snapchat. But I meant what is the different between this device and the previous one ( XZP ) ?? what is the reason to launch this device if it almost the same? Moreover, there are no special software features, even small applications which was useful for me they removed it !! and by the way, I'm a huge SONY fan as all my devices are SONY brand ( ARC - S - V - Z - Z2 - Z3 - Z5P - XZ ) I have 4 SONY TVs including 55' 93D. Also 2 cameras from SONY ( HDR-CX760E - NEX-7 ). But for Xperia I know there is no real improvement :(

I wonder why? i like xperia but honestly sony deserve all the bashing and criticizing they are getting at the moment. Am a big sony fan, true, even my family knows it, but at the moment, sony is simply acting unnecessarily stubborn. I just hope it doesn't cause bigger problems for them soon or even take there mobile down to the grave. It's just getting harder to forgive and overlook there excess chin.

Sony launch stupid smartphones with not big but with tooooo big bazels and other thing is the buttons are also on lcd screen.
and cost is very high, sony is thinking that their brand is like iphone, Samsung, Nokia. By providing this specs and service, SONY can't even stand at bottom of shit. iPhone, Samsung, Nokia are going to launch bazel less amoled display, while the sony is stuck with the bravia shit and selling at high cost without any reason.

If you look at them closely, you'll realize they're no longer symmetrical as they were in the XZ and XZs. Top bezel is larger than the bottom bezel.
Screen-to-body ratio:
XZ & XZs = 70.9%
XZ1 = 68.6%

I would really like to see sony reduce the size the bezel I'd give the phone the same screen size while reducing the overall size
