Hey, so I’m wanting a new phone for my birthday. I currently have a Z5C and recently the battery drain problem has been real. And so I’ve boiled my choices down to the Google Pixel or the XZ1C but not sure which. I really love Sony’s UI but I’m worried battery life is going to be an issue. Any unbiased thoughts? I’m not sure what I want from a phone, decent battery life I suppose and not too large for my tiny hands

Excellent reception. At the signal bar it's always 1-2 bar compare to my other phone on the same network which is 2-3-4 bar but somehow it's the same in term of call quality or data

you see I've named 3 direct sites (2 being forums which you can isolate via XZ1 Compact, the topic at hand). You're naming a shipping company that has loads of regional sites and sellers to each region posting which reviews as you claim are customer feedback from devices shipped to them We have no idea how far or the condition of the XZ1 Compact shipped to customers from Amazon (dropped from a 3rd party delivery company at their door or handed to them with signature upon arrival or with a building superintendent.

Hey guys! I just read feedbacks on Amazon again and noticed there are a lot of complaints connected with the poor signal or a complete loss f the signal, as a result missed calls and SMS, in other words the most important function of the phone fails to perform. Those of you who have this phone is it true? Or has it become better with new update? Thnx

This would be my last Sony phone I guess. XZ2 Compact is just plain ugly, no unique characteristic and design, utterly stupid 18:9 display and removal of 3.5 mm headphone jack. Disgusting move Sony!!!
Oh wait, I haven't bought this phone yet as it's still expensive for my wallet. But as time goes by, the price will drop even further. I'll patiently wait for it. In the meantime, Redmi 4x serves me well so far.

Anonymous, 26 Feb 2018I gotta agree, the XZ2 compact looks hideous, like a big fa... morea real piece of shit just like the rest of the phones on the market. if people really want 5 inches screen with the same stupid design like korean/chinese phones. they don't need to buy sony fuckin compact lines phones... especially not in 600 price bracket. they could charged whatever they want for previous models because there are no other options, the only compact phones on the market just iphone se, for android phone, there's only sony compact line. the rest of the market only have 5 inches screen for their smallest size.now with this design changes and screen size and charge 600 euro? sony xa2 looks vastly better than xz2compact, at least from design alone. i'm very very disappointed with sony. if they only change xz2 design, i get it, they need to fight with other manufacturers, to get more market share, okay... xz2compact, they are the only one who produce this kind of phone, nobody else have this type of phone, why they ruin their own market. even nokia looks vastly better than xz2compact

I gotta agree, the XZ2 compact looks hideous, like a big fat hippo. Shrunk the bezels a little but increase thickness and height, slight increase in width... One handed use will be tougher with the 18:9 and bigger screen. And that fingerprint scanner placement is placed too far down for a smaller phone. I'd recommend anyone to grab the XZ1 compact when they drop the price after the launch and availability of xz2 compact.

the new sony xz2 compact is coming out people so camera might improve on that bit no big deal xz1 compact is fine its nice i actually on a iphone se which is very good too but is looking to upgrade to sony xz1 compact due to being waterproof bigger battery and also more grippy.
