It's nothing like the cheap plastic feel of the previous generation X compact. It feels really good IMO. The battery life is great as you can see by the battery score compared to the SE that another comment already mentioned. It's one of the few phones to get over 100 hours on gsmarena's battery test.

this type of fiberglass reinforced plastic material that sony uses will NOT crack, shatter or scratch!!!!! i would buy it just based on this material alone! excellent!
my only wish is if sony used this fiberglass/plastic ALSO for the top and bottom of the phone. i accidentally dropped the phone on marble tile floor everything was fine except for the metallic part used to cap the phone at both ends (bottom and top)

N, 15 Feb 2018hi guys need some help i have an iphone se but is consideri... moreUnfortunately it is not metal body but it is using "Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic", it is strong, durable, lightweight, temperature insulator, signal booster.
Regarding to the battery you could at least take a look at the specifications page you will find the battery endurance, in this test the xz1 compact blew away all smartphones, it scored 108 hours vs 73 hours for the SE.
The display, cameras are much better, front facing stereo speakers, waterproof design, expandable storage Micro SD card support.... Conclusion you won't miss your SE.

hi guys need some help i have an iphone se but is considering sony xperia xz1 compact but isnt too sure on the plastic body and battery would it be better than iphone battery? ive had my iphone for a year and half? any suggestions

The camera is not that bad as most reviews point out. It is much better than other phone cameras in the price bracket. OIS would have been helpful though

To be honest both are catching up with each other, Samsung with tech and Sony with marketing, this is been always the case between Koreans and Japanese, Korean industry are like Chinese copy and market.

I really interested to this p... moreIt is amazing, one of the in the market, the camera performance in low light has improved a lot with motion eye camera sensor, stay away from Samsung it is a crap if you are considering it, in general the Koreans still needs a lot of work to catch up with the Japanese in technology, or maybe they won't even.

I'm trying to choose from Nokia 8 and Sony xz1 Compact for a while now... I see that there are a lot of problems with them. I will stick to my Lumia 930 until they make a phone that could actually work. :(
