It's good time too but previously flagships. Planning to buy Z5c, but not sure if after Oreo release will work smoothly on 2Gb of RAM, maybe it'd better to take Xc?

Jimbob, 01 Sep 2017Thet could have put 3000mAh in it and made it a beast...Well technically they can (i think), but only if they want the xz1 compact to be the next note 7....

Olusegzy, 31 Aug 2017Sony could've had a bestseller if this phone came with 64gb... moreand longer/higher 18:9 ratio could refresh the front look much more ,that is the trend now , sony lost opprtunity . I am now three years with the same screen size 4.6" with my three compacts z3 z5 x . but must admit the huge improvment in screen text reading improvments in contrast and sharpness between the Z3 compact to my current x compact , so sony is doing somthing there ,

That said, people will still look to maximise their value for money, so might (on seeing the price here) potentially consider alternatives they might not have otherwise.
£449 would have been reasonable yes.

Anonymous, 01 Sep 2017They can ask more, because this is smaller!
It is the best... moreWell if Sony follow your logic then what's to stop then at this price eh??
Only one it it's category, so why stop at £499... let go to £699, why not.... it's not like they have anything else to choose now it's it.
What are you willing to pay for the 'only' device in a category?

Still £449 would have been a highly competitive price point. Even if a oneplus is better value, your probably not considering that as an alternative to a 4.6" device.
