I used this Phone almost a year, and this work amazing for me. Battery almost 20 hours. (note: I don't play game on this phone )

I use xperia 1 iii as primary phone. Took my old xz2 compact and still lovin it. While my 1 iii geta a good deserved charge, i use now my xz2 compact to browse social media or play some brain damaging games

Coming back to this phone in 2023, I only noticed the AOSP Open Device program for several Sony phones*. It turns out that Sony rolls out Android 12.0 binaries for this phone. If you think about it, Sony can officially roll out a fourth OS update to this phone. I don't mind this AOSP program thing since I used to flash custom ROMs, but most average consumers don't do that kind of thing.
Also, I'm still baffled by this phone's battery endurance rating to this day. It has no right to achieve the exact score as the bigger 5.7" XZ2 that sports a bigger battery capacity. If not for the extra 1.0 mm body thickness, this phone would have a lower score than the XZ2.

2023 still use it as a primary phone. battery life is good enough, i got screen on time 5hr for social media use such as youtube, netflix, facebook, and then for gaming only 3hr.

One of my all-time favorite phones. The size, the battery life, the fantastic camera, even the SD 845 chipset inside is still a very capable SoC that can handle pretty much most apps and games nowadays but keep in mind, this isn't a gaming phone per se.
Why won't smartphone companies make compact sized phones nowadays?

Its superb..... After using since 2019 its still awesome. I love the camera and de compact nature of the phone.. Battery is still ok.. I think when ot comes to quality and originality z sony is de best.. Far better than Samsung and Apple.

For those who love compact and durable phone for daily use, this is one of the best. been using this since 2019 and still punching these days. I hope there would be another kind of this with bigger RAM and slightly bigger battery

It's crazy to think that Sony can give bigger battery than the Google Pixel 4 and about the same size as the Google Pixel 3 despite being much shorter than both of them.

XZ2c (H8314) ATT branded, ATT will not provide IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) registration for it. So VoLTE/HD calling capability cannot be used. Today, that means you can't make voice calls over AT&T at all. Got a 6-yr old iPhone7? No problem. Got an 8-yr old Samsung Galaxy S5? No problem! Got a 4 yr old Sony XZ2c? -> you're Screwed!
