Don't understand why this phone weigh so heavily. That's a turn-off for me, since I already wish my LG V10 would weigh a bit less (192g).

Never been a problem with the hundreds of millions of Samsung phones with glue on the battery. The Chemists and Engineers at R&D design and test all this.

Check out this Sony video of removing the double glued battery and heating up rear cover to remove the battery on Sony XZ1.

                https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Sony+Xperia+XZ1+Battery+Replacement/101234

At 6.20 minutes into video. Using a heat gun on rear cover. This could warp the metal cover and discolour it. Worst ever design from sony.

                    Here is their conclusion....

"No compréis el Sony Xperia XZ2, ya que es un móvil con mala relación calidad precio."

                    which translates to....

"Do not buy the Sony Xperia XZ2, as it is a mobile phone with poor quality-price ratio."

It also says that its too heavy, too thick and bad battery life, NO 3.5 mm headphone jack, bad fingerprint scanner button location.

                    Also NO supplied headphones !

Anonymous, 04 Jun 2018How can Huawei P20 Pro scored 2 in the teardown reviews?! ... moreCause its badly designed and assembled...Repairability score 2.
On iFixit it scored 3 out of 10, and S8 and alike just 4 out of 10.
For ex, iphone X scored 7 out of 10. IpX recieved accolades for internal design and engineering, build quality quite the same as XZ2, with many pin connectors, holding brackets, etc...., But its battery is also held by glue straps.

I believe XZ2 would be in the same range, maybe even better, it is quite easier to exchange the screen or the battery on it than on ipX. Either way, both are just a league up in engineering than the rest.

Nothing is said about glue on a battery being a design fault.
Nothing about glue damaging a battery.

We all know glue is used on a Samsung battery. Thats obvious.

But again, where is the Evidence that glue on a battery inside a phone is a design fault ?.

Stop avoiding the question and talking about something else.

Again, where is the Evidence that glue on a battery inside a phone is a design fault ?.

Well, so much for any arguments. This is an 11.9mm thick and 236g piece of cellphone. Whatever good it can offer, definitely we should think twice since it is very heavy and thick. I don't know what Sony designers are thinking but it will surely put Sony cellphones even further down. So much for the great Sony before. They are definitely way behind with other competitors.

samsung have made a good decision by making their devices can be opened from the back.

sadly sony is not. you have to "burn" your screen and pry it. you must be very careful when u do this, otherwise your screen will be damaged.

samsung's designer is much much more smarter than sony's.
