I like sony's LCDs and I like this phone hasn't got OLED screen - sony produce very good LCDs, OLED would make phones up to 150 eu more expensive and normal user won't recognise different between OLED and sony's last LCD.

that is why XZ2 wasn't good
thy were preparing for a this
beast
finally increaseing the adaptor width (F/number) returning the old selfe camera and the old school 16:9 4K screen yes it is wide but 18:9 is just to much pixels for 4Ks
the only problems are
EXTREMELY heavy and bulky due to the dusl glass sandwich design and 16:9 is wide (but justified)
no OIS BUT they COULD have a reason for not adding it in the last 3 years
LCD is old school and there is no reason to dump the OLED screens (just like OIS and F/2.0)
we will see a HILL of a fight between XZ2 PREMIUM and the S9+

What is with Sony devices and footprint?
Huawei devices pack more hardware for half the footprint... Are Sony engineers clueless?
In years before they hid their cluelessness in "design language". Nowadays their design suck too (what is with the hump?) so no justification remains. They just can't make a compact phone even if their life was depnded on it ... even their "compact" phone is so thick and big volumetrically that makes everything else seem dinky...

If you dont like the phone and need uncomfortable thin and light phone , then dont buy it!
THIS PHONE IS PERFECT :
1) Thicker (means easier to hold)
2) wider (normal movie ratio of 16:9 ) is easier to hold when typing a text ! Stop complaining about stupid things!
3) heavier means easier to hold all when typing a text

Sony only 11.9mm and 236gram.? You can do 12.5mm 13mm and 250+gram. This 2018 already.))) i change my sony x performance to Xiaomi redmi note 5 pro or note 5 china version snap 636..

I genuinely worry for Sony's Xperia XZ line. I feel like they're only one generation away from finally getting it right but as things look now, this XZ2 generation could possibly be their last. I hope not...
