The specification said AptX HD. I check it with AptX checker and it said NO APTX support. It also failed to playback my music files of wma format >VBR 320kbps. It simply skips the files. My old Samsung Note 3 can play them back. How come a new high-end model can't? Do I need a codec pack? Please help. BTW, if you have to put it on a holder, say when driving, please note that it always clip on the power button.

Just got the february update so apparently they changed it from monthly updates to quarter updates but the phone works great either way because apart from security the performance is still pretty much the same so top notch.

Ammar, 21 Feb 2019I have feb security patch on mine xz2 premium patch# 52.0.A.3.202I'm still stuck on November with mine, maybe i'll get the February one in march but that's still 2/3 😈 months old security update. I just hope we get Android 10 when that comes out next year and the phone works great in everything and battery life is great so no more obsessing over it.

This phone is great and works without a hitch but apparently it has been abandoned software wise. Last update for my phone was on OCT 30 which is more than 3 months ago so it has Android Pie but no more security updates or patches after that update so it's a nice phone with a marvelous 4K screen but if you're looking for extra security and timely updates this phone is to be avoided. Is anyone beyond OCT 30 with the updates ?

Shui8, 01 Feb 2019I'm coming from a lot of Xperia flagship before switch to H... moreSensor size and pixel size + more manual controls doesn't make the camera automatically better when it comes to pictures because sensor type and quality also matters so either my cousin has a bad camera on his M20pro or it's the software's fault either way the camera on the xz2p is not worse and actually does better in some situations regardless of the sensor size.
I have my xz2p updated and the colors look natural to me and i did try to play with pro mode and change some settings but not that much difference either way. Be it as it may it is still a 19MP camera so there is a drop in quality either way and since the AI of the Huawei phone changes the settings automatically it will probably be more suitable for less knowledgeable people. To each his own i guess as i myself prefer and love the 16:9 aspect ratio over the strange 19.5:9. Either phone you're getting they're both good enough for the average consumer but another thing the xz2p is loud af when compared to most other phones especially since it has both front firing speakers. Overall i prefer the XZ2p for some of the subtle differences plus i already had burn in on my S8 because if i din't i wouldn't had even bought a new phone so i am biased against amoled screens which most phones have these days.

XZ2 premium produce very saturated colors and red... moreI never got any saturation with the xz2p and i did own an S8 previusly so i know what saturation looks like as for the red/pink hues i can't tell you since i rarely or never take indoor shots but if they're there then i haven't noticed them.

No, no matter what, Mate 20 camera are superior than XZ2 premium in many aspects, be it low lights or daylight. In fact, manual mod on Mate 20 are more advance than Xperia. U cant beat physics, Mate 20 pro camera sensor are bigger, and even vanilla Mate 20 has the same camera sensor size as XZ2 premium, its pixel size are bigger at 1.6 micron than 1.22 micron inside XZ2 Premium.
Are u aware that Mate 20 Master AI 2.0 didnt oversaturate colors anymore? Unlike the previous P20 Pro. And on my observation, only normal XZ2 retains natural colors. Starts from XZ2 Premium & XZ3, they add a bit of vibrancy to colors. But it still not far off from natural. Accept it, & looks like next XZ4 camera might be a game changer from Sony.

Its been killed by Huawei Mate 20 Pro. - https... moreEveryone is saying that but my cousin has a Mate 20 Pro and I put them side by side taking night pictures and videos and the xz2p always comes on top so either his phone has a bad sensor or you're all so biased towards Sony that it hurts. Online comparisons shows the same things plus the xz2p has natural colors and not that oversaturated bullshit.

I've always been using Sony phones xperia z2 ,z3 , z3plus but I'm not happy for Xperia zx2 Premium Badly, since I bought a broken speaker for 4 months, I used very little because I have another phones for my work ,It's been 10 days that I've been waiting for repair and I'm thinking of my latest phone from Sony
