Sony obviously stands to the point that 2.0 on a fixed mobile aperture is best ratio inbetween, for best preservance of all photo aspects that matter,
And I trust them, as they are now about best professional camera know how developers in the World.
XZ Premium uses bigger pixels on a same sized sensor now with f2.0 so we ll see the results of that soon enough, I believe the LE effect will be as close to f1. 8 lower mpx ones, but not loosing tthe focus and depth managability.

But.... if you re into this new mobile VR googled screen, 2K is not good enough on VR for its only 500-570 ppi, as reported by users, but 4K is quite better for its 807 ppi.
But anyways,
Mobile VR has to go screen independant, as googled VR approach is nothing else but bad, even tho cheaper. Sony is working on these PlaystationVR alike concepts for mobile already. Hope they bring it to Xperias soon.

Wider aperture bring more light and also bring cons. Which is harder focusing (solve by Samsung with dual pixel focus, but sony treasure hybris predictive focus) and shallow foreground background blur seperation(it is good when shooting portrait and selfie but bad for landscape)

Else, you would need to be REALLLY close to the phone to enjoy the additional pixels. And then you would need to get glasses for your damaged eyes. Humans' eyes can only distinct a limited quantity of data, and the Galaxy S6 is already close to that limit.

I a Sony fanboy i like sony stuff because it works like clock for years .I plan to change my original xperia Z (using it 5 years slowly no screen crack fast working long years of support ! and its water proofing is part of the warranty!) on this XZ premium. But i have to say that Samsung s8 has simply more futuristic look, in specs its looks like Sony again in the competition and with this new camera and better screen(don't lie your self if 4k screen useless then why 2k screen is everything?) its finally tops the Samsung. I like Samsung front design but in hardware over all Sony wins .So i say who don't care about specs go for Samsung .Who cares about it and more in to elegant design go for Sony .

Xperia Xzp is best smartphone for now samsung trolls get out of here and dont burn . i love sony first phone with sd835 first worldwide phone with 960fps slow motion and first worldwide bluetooth 5 smartphone . plus then sony had best ips display of all time ! now what about samsung pastic s8 !?

Sony so stupid putting 4K screen ... moreActually there is fingerprint sensor for US, its disable for a partnership with verizon if i remember, its disable, but if you bought the phone with the provider who have partnership you'll have your fingreprint sensor working, (or im pretty sure you can find a way to even activate it for the others phone unlocked, with rom or patch modification.

If not for the Huge Bezels of the XPZ, it will blow away newly release phones this quarter. Its not future proof? better take a look on its specs before talking. The only thing I like on the new s8 is its screen thats fitted into a small build ( not fan of curved display though ). But overall, im digging the new XPZ. Btw, I had no problem with Xperia phones' battery even if its "small", Sony optimizes well its battery usage well.... So? God Bless!

If not for the big bezels of the Xperia XZ premium, It would blow every smartphone this quarter release as it has amazing specs as a smartphone. the only thing I like about the new s8 is it's screen by the way, the rest I go for XZP. God Bless!
