Sony Xperia XZ Premium

Greetings Sony users
I've been using my trusty old Xperia z1 for about 4 years now. After 1 battery, 2 battery cover, and a full housing change, without any major problems occurred, I decided to upgrade. I looked through my options and decided I'll buy either xz premium or xz1. But I just can't decide which one.

I'll use my phone for mainly high-end games, reddit, videos, internet surfing. So I thought premium would be better because of the bigger screen, battery and PPI density also 4k support is nice too but when I looking into battery endurance test on this site made me think. 10 hrs difference is pretty big, despite of the bigger battery. Also, xz1 looked better than premium most of the time.

Although spec wise they're pretty much the same. Is it because premium was tested when it was in 7,1 Nougat and xz1 was in 8,0 Oreo, or xz1 is just better? Will upgrading premium to 8,0 improve battery and performance to a similar level, if not better then xz1? I know it improves but I'll probably use this phone for about 4-5 years too and I just want to be sure about it.
Thanks for your attention. Regards.

The Sony Xperia XZ Premium is the most seasoned model in the organization's lineup that is on the way to an Android 9.0 Pie refresh. The official timetable puts the discharge date at some point in November. Xperia XZ Sony price in pakistan is ver high.

The new programming was spotted making its conditional first strides, running a Geekbench test. The single center outcome is lower than what the Snapdragon 835 pulled off while running Android Oreo (the score ought to be in the 1,900 territory), so it's reasonable the product isn't prepared for prime time.

kujtim, 30 Aug 2018the screen with 800 ppi is awesome unprecedented bro. and ... moreSo its obvous that u dont know anything about phone's performance- ram isnt tha main thing when it comes to performance, its the software(software- hardware) optimisiation- thats where the Samsung is worst(together with Huawei)- both are laggy even when they are new and become more and more laggy in time, also slowing downs in a short time,plus- both of them are far away from a cleaner android. On the other hand,Sony is Vanila based android(near- stock android) with awesome software- hardware optimisation, runs smooth and fast in much longer period. So,thats way even older Sony flagship with 3 gb of ram will beat in performance any newer Samsung or Huawei phone with 4 or 6 gb of ram,Samsung optimisation is so bad that any ammount of bigger ram wont help them in beating Sony or Pixel or Htc perfomance. Now a note to Sony fans(i was and still like Sony) i ve got One Plus 6- it has even better performance than Sony- faster and even more fluid- its also Vanila based, but a slightly better optimisation(and slightly cleaner)- trust me,it has suprebe performance.

Is it still worth buying this phone?
I don't like the new design language of XZ2, XZ3P and even the new XZP3.
I love the 'monolithic' look of this and the reflective body is unusual and unique.

xz3 almost like a s9 to me from front view. shame on sony, their unique design has gone. I bought Xperia mainly due to unique design. I like this rectangular design, it is more like a male phone. now sony has adopted to that ugly female design. most probably my last Xperia will be this one.

kujtim, 31 Aug 2018the ppi is just fine Again, I think you are misunderstanding me. I never said anything about performance and was commenting that the PPI of 800 has only been achieved by Sony. Monstrous meant massive and fantastic when I used it to describe the PPI

It's not enough to compete with the Samsungs of this phone, as evidenced by Sony's poor sales.

I think this was Sony's last chance at breaking into the flagship market. This phone needed smaller bezels because although the build quality is great, the S8 came out around the same time and put it to shame with its screen-to-body ratio. Also, the camera should be good on paper but the lack of OIS & poor post-processing renders it mediocre in low-light conditions. Apart from that, this phone has solid battery life, crisp screen and silky-smooth performance. the XZ2 & XZ3 range have improved the camera but the new design language is appalling. Slightly smaller bezels but heavy, chunky body and awkward FP placement.
