I am a proud fan of Sony and user of the Xperia XZ Premium. I Also have a Xperia Z Ultra which works as charm even now !
Firstly Flagship phones have their own stand in terms of performance, built quality. product longevity and reliability. Its from my own experience.
Both phone as almost same to look at. The technology used are also almost same.
But there are some striking differences which steal the deal for the XZ Premium !
Here are the pros(Advantages) for XZ Premium:
Body :
Stunning look due to Gorilla glass for Front and back - premium
All aluminium body - XZ1
Display:
5.46" - premium
5.2" - XZ1
Resolution:
3840 x 2160 pixels, (~807 ppi density) - premium
1080 x 1920 pixels, (~424 ppi density) - XZ1

Supports HDR - premium
No HDR - XZ1

Rest everything is almost same in terms of specs for both the phones.
If you are looking for a less expensive model, XZ1 id good.

Both have the same specs, except that the premium has 4k display and is larger compared xz1. So choose the premium

Overdrive, 14 Apr 2018S8 or xzp? In every aspect. Help me. Thanks.S8 is superior in almost every respect. But subjectively you might prefer Sony design and UI.

Water resistant means that the device can resist in contact with water for a limited time and limited exposure to water, it doesn`t mean that u can swim with it.

Some people say that 4K HDR display has 120hz support but locked by sony for a unknown reason ..well i'm happy that i own one.Best phone ever..still works like a charm in 2018(as fast as the samsung g s9+)

you said sony could not do it because the don't know how to do it, and they are slow...
tell me why samsung took 1 year to ""COPY"" the slow motion "GIMMICK" as you mentioned before? same for water proofing... same for screen resolution, but ofc they can't make 4K screens, they have bad power management...
for the people who say 4K screen on mobile phone is useless, and gimmick... I'm sure they still didn't see a 4K screen and compare it with their beloved samsung amoled... tell me why there is no amoled screen for computer?... Oooh what? ... they have burn in? Oooh ofc ... and diamond pentile screen...
Sammy fanboys will call anything gimmicks, when shamesung "COPY" it... they call it innovation.... pfftt.
