Other smartphone manufacturers are only starting to catch up to Samsung's last year flagship (S7). They're never going to equal the level of technological ingenuity and craftmanship of the S8. The S8 is the most advanced smartphone right now. The features the S8 has will to come to other smartphones after 5 years.

Red/yellow/blue tints on whites are a common issue with AMOLED. This is nothing new. Nevertheless, the worst AMOLED screen is still miles better than the best LCD screen.

                        700 dollars for basically a 2016 smartphone? This is not a worthy purchase. If you add just 50 dollars more you can already get a proper flagship 2017 smartphone with the latest processor, fastest RAM and UFS storage, and best screen technology and design bundled with expensive AKG earbuds, aka Samsung Galaxy S8.
